  • Isabel Carrington

Here comes the magic. Isabel Carrington is the owner of the Bell & Raven, a shop I discovered not too long ago & a place where I felt magical energy around me like a warm hug. Isabel mirrors that magic as well. Her & I connected on a synchronous level that was undeniable & I knew that the world needed to hear her story too.

Isabel has taken her JOY & turned it into her purpose through the Bell & Raven. Isabel has wisdom & insight that will fill your cup for a long while, so sit back & soak it all in.

  • Perry Keenan

There is a first time for everything and today's guest, reached out to me to be on this podcast, not the other way around. Usually my guests are people that I know or are acquainted with, met or have been introduced via mutual friend/acquaintance.  Not this time.

Enter,  Perry Keenan, former Mayor of Pleasant View, Tennessee. The topics of conversation that Perry is most familiar with having are ones that have revolved around politics & his role as Mayor when he served from 2012-2020. This was his chance to peel back the layers on a more human level & not have his primary label be predominantly attached to "Mayor."

Join me as we take a brief stroll through the lens of Perry Keenan aka The Flippin Mayor.

  • Anna Hagen

You've got a friend in me. This week I have on a friend who I have not seen in 20 years. So how is it, that I call her a friend? I don't think friends leave one anothers souls, I think they are stored, not lost. Hearing Anna's voice felt like a warm hug, her entire being is like a warm hug & her energy is nothing short of contagious.

Anna fully intended on having a career as a trauma therapist, but life had different ideas for her. By complete happenstance, Anna & her sister started a business that would take them to a new level of "love what you do & you'll never work a day in your life." You will not want to miss this one!

  • Rich Gale

On this weeks episode of They're Just Humans, I have the pleasure of listening to the incredibly interesting & talented, Rich Gale.  Rich grew up in Littleton NH & was a natural athlete, especially at his height. He went on to play professional baseball in the MLB predominantly for the Kansas City Royals & pitched in two World Series games. He also played for the Boston Red Sox (New England plug there). His list of accolades is long & so are his life experiences.

Rich discusses a traumatic event that took place in his life that may be triggering for some. Please take care while listening.

  • Brian Busam

This week my guest is Brian Busam. Brian is a human who has experienced things in his life that most humans have never, nor will ever (or should ever) experience. At a very young age, Brian went through a traumatic event that changed the rest of his life as he would know it. Through it all, Brian has turned his suffering into doing good across the board.

We chat about everything from Slipknot the band to Yankee Candles & it all makes perfect sense. There is so much light amongst the darkness in this episode.

    TRIGGER WARNING*
Please know there are talks around natural disasters & childhood trauma/death.

  • Niko & Duane

Today was a spur of the moment conversation revolving mostly around the incident that occurred to Damar Hamlin, safety for the Buffalo Bills. Damar went into cardiac arrest following what seemed to be a routine tackle. Without the immediate action taken by trainers & medical staff, the outcome of this miraculous story could have been much different.

Welcome back to our guests, yes there is more than one, Duane Brooks & Niko Lalos.
This conversation is between a non football playing human (me), a long time football player & coach in the NFL & college football (Duane) & an active NFL player who is the same age as Damar & closest to "that could have been me, or anyone else." (Niko)

We bring different views to the table & really just want to bring the human condition into a sport that we may have started to dehumanize. Let's look at the different sides of football & what we all have in common, being human.

  • S2E12 - Bailey

For the final episode in season two, I have the privilege of speaking to a fierce woman who stands at 4 foot 11 & has already made a huge impact on the world around her.
She has big goals that all seemed to unfold organically. Like deciding to just go out & see how many miles she could run without ever really running before. She ended up running FAR. Bailey is sure to make you think more deeply yet simply about a lot of different topics that somehow all connect in the end.

  • S2E11 - Mr. & Mrs. Donnelly - Donnelly

You are not seeing double. This episode is with the one I chose to do life with by my side. My husband Bobby. Last week I released somewhat of a memoir in short podcast form. A glimpse of marriage through my lens. How did Bobby feel about last weeks episode? He will tell us today, here & now. We discuss a lot of things in a short amount of time, I mean, 10 years is a lot of ground to cover.
