For the season 1 finale, I circle back to where I started this podcast, Littleton New Hampshire. Joe Lahout is the owner of Lahouts Ski Shop, the oldest ski shop in America, a family owned store that dates back to before the great depression. Joe has stories about his life that include everything from Ellis Island to Aerosmith. Did I mention I worked at Lahouts all through high school? So Joe is no stranger to me, if anything, he is someone who I truly believe was put in my path for a reason.

He grew up as a Jehovah's Witness, he was traumatized as a child, he had a close to death experience & he lost 100 lbs & now runs marathons & owns a bed & breakfast. So many THINGS. This week my guest is Andrea Tulley. Andrea is a therapist in her professional life & is also a big part of the guiding eyes for the blind community. Andrea is the dose of sunshine we all need & just listening to her will feel like a warm hug. She's quite good at seeing & hearing. Something we could all use a little more practice with.

Andrea is a cognitive-behavioral therapist and focuses on solution-oriented psychological treatment. She is a National Certified Counselor as well as being a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am not going to beat a dead horse, I am not going to beat a dead horse (why do people say that anyway)?

OK  so this week's episode is the first episode I ever recorded (back in June). I didn't know what I was doing (I still don't know what I am doing) but fortunately I chose one of my closest friends to be my podcast guinea pig. I had microphones I had no clue how to use,  I was in the same room as my guest which posed its own issues... basically, I was winging it because there is always a first for everything & I had to start somewhere. Thankfully this podcast is not about me, it is about all you humans out there who have stories to tell. Did I have to add this information? Yes, because I am also human, I am not perfect (never want to be) and there are flaws & growing pains that come along with anything new we decide to embark on. This is proof. This is raw, this is NOT perfect, but it is REAL. Not everything has to be polished for the world to see, sometimes it is the imperfections that tell the true stories & make us feel seen & heard.
