You know because sometimes from the outside we see people get on a BIG SHOW like HBO's Silicon Valley or in the trades we see they're working opposite Snoop Dogg and we think – of course, CAA came knocking – but it didn't happen that way and he breaks down his path. Ciera Payton is an accomplished actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist hailing from New Orleans.

Most recently, Ciera showed her talent for bringing real people to life in Lifetime's Wendy Williams biopic. Williams' superfans campaigned on social media to cast her as the larger-than-life celebrity and Ciera's raw portrayal of the infamous talk show host did not disappoint. She landed her first role as the female lead opposite Steven Seagal in the action feature Flight of Fury. Since her breakout role, she has shared the screen with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Kevin Hart, Josh Brolin, and many more acclaimed artists.

You might know him from the hit Netflix show Wednesday, or the Lincoln Lawyer, or freaking Bloodlines – which I was a huuuuge fan of…so when he came on to BOSCH and I got to work with him. I think it's so freaking inspirational…how it took him TWENTY FIVE years to book a series regular.

I brought in my current acting coach. Craig Archibald – you are definitely going to want to hear this talk. He wrote the book THE ACTORS MINDSET which is linked below. I have been working with him privately for just about 4 or 5 years. And I just started to work with him in a class setting…why? I talk about that on the podcast, but basically because I stopped playing as an actor. I stopped having fun. I needed to be around other actors with like-minded energy and goals. And Craig has been nothing but a safe haven for me and my artist.

But, this podcast was so open and vulnerable…I mean, I haven't heard ALL of the interviews she's doing before this, but I feel like we connected and it made her open up more.

We talked about so much…but…How she talks about how her dream capped out at age 25 and what she thinks about it now…it really got me thinking about this…when you were first getting into this career…did you think you'd be discovered at 25…and if that didn't happen that way…did you dream another dream? Or did you start settling? Or reducing your dream down to your current circumstances? This isn't even the D-12 shot yall…
