I have been chasing Erin Huizenga around the internet since 2006. She has worked at all the places I've drooled over for years, done some amazing work around innovation, design and education and to be honest is just a pretty cool person. She is a several time founder, co-founder and host and most recently co-founded Desklight Learning, "Desklight uses human-centered design to build engaging learning tools and platforms for businesses, schools, and nonprofits." Erin and I talked about HOW she does her creative, innovative and strategic work, the value of community that is so dear to her and her thoughts on learning!
You can learn more about Desklight on their website here and Instagram here.

George Floyd was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis on May 25. 2020 which has initiated a global push for justice, racial equality and simply put, change. I sat down with my friend Dimitri Hepburn who has served as an inner city science teacher, non profit leader and advocated for underserved communities. This episode is longer than usual episodes but is well worth the listen. We talk about gaps in education, challenges facing young black teens and the challenge around solving problems. Please take a listen and share with others as this is a raw, intelligent and insightful conversation on race.

This week's episode is just HAPPY. Rosie Quasarano is the co-founder of LittleFoot Coffee a small batch coffee roaster based outside Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her story is so unique, uplifting and human centered that it sounds more like a movie than a real story! I hope you can take some time to listen, reflect and learn from Rosie's story on how she focused on PEOPLE to start and grow her business and create "coffee as connection".

Patrick Smith is the founder of C2 Creative Studio, a boutique agency that helps brands strategize their message and voice. He and I have worked together on several projects and it's always a blast. This episode explores his creative process, where he draws inspiration from. (stand up comedy and music). the idea that "creativity is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration" and one of my favorite lessons from Patrick for brands which is, "what are you saying, how are you saying it and what do you own?".

I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for over 30 years and was recently excited to get connected with Lauren Bongiorno. Lauren is a Diabetic Wellness coach but this episode is nothing about diabetes but instead it's about YOUR potential! Lauren tells us the story of how after years of unhealthy relationships with herself and lack of self love she turned to yoga to slow down her mind. It was at the end of a yoga class during "shivasana" when she was finally hit with the thought of "What if?" What if she didn't go to law school like her family and instead pursued a career of helping other diabetics achieve their optimal level of wellness!?
This episode is filled with great little tidbits of how reach your potential. From how to deal with overwhelm to recognizing your patterns of behavior , I hope you will take a listen and learn something new! I love her story about how her father is her greatest source of inspiration and his love of projects inspired her to go after her dreams!
