Where do you think you would rather live after listening to this episode? I explore the startling differences between the UK and Australia. I am a legal citizen of both countries. I have lived in Australia for over 15 years and moved back to the UK in May. It was a huge shock! The UK is not how I remember it. I am well and truly an Aussie in lifestyle. We speak the same language, but that's about as similar as the two countries get!!
Please listen with care, I discuss complex issues with anorexia and self harm.
This episode explores my move back to the UK after 16 years living in Australia. Please share with anyone who may feel its helpful and get in touch if you have any questions
Well, considering I didn't plan on staying more than 2 weeks, I've definitely made the most of this country. I leave Perth as a certified Australian citizen, with new optimism and appreciation for life and more connections, memories, and love than I could ever wish for. Australia, you have been amazing.... now onto the next chapter of my life
I thought I knew all there was to know about eating disorders, but this chat was fascinating, and I learnt so much! Thank you, Nelly. This was a fascinating conversation with Nelly Ruffet. Nelly has modelled for me on a couple of occasions as a life model. She bravely and graciously shares her own decade-long experience of living with orthorexia & Bulimia.
Please seek help or speak with someone if any of this conversation raises issues for you. Please also listen with care
I didn't speak at all about family or friends in this episode, and the reality of living overseas for 15years!!! I will save that for another time. This was specifically about navigating a romantic relationship with someone from a long distance.
Thank you to Amy for being so honest and insightful and sharing your experience with me. I love you x
I have struggled my whole adult life with comparing myself with others. This episode is a reminder to myself and hopefully to you that you are doing your best, you only need to think about your life and you need to be aware of that voice in your head before you can free yourself of the thief of joy that comes from comparing. Good luck and be kind to yourself, no one else can live your life and you can't live anyone else's
There are a lot of random happenings, universal signs, and coincidences that have culminated in me securing a space for a year, showing my art to 1000s of people in the heart of the CBD.
Here I talk about the exhibition creation process, how I came to have this opportunity, and how I brought it all together
191 st Geroges terrace will be home to my art for the remainder of the year
Please Enjoy
Over the past 3 years, I have focused on sharing life advice and tips for a better life via my podcast. In reality, I feel like I have said everything I wanted to say in this area, and I also don't have the answers to tell people how they should be living their lives. I want to shift the focus to simply sharing interesting stories, facts, and information. I want to meet people who have something interesting to say, and I want to share that interest with you, my listeners. Please get in touch if there are any specific questions or topics you would like me to dicuss, and I will do my best to find the right guests.
In this episode, I simply share some memories from my walk of the length of the UK (Lands End to John o Groats. There are too many incredible memories to share in one episode, so I'm sure I will share more
Please feel free to see videos on my Instagram comeonlive_chance2shine
A very jumbled account of my walk of the UK, I have left so much out and as recalled this experience at the same time as fresh memories came to mind, just a little all over the place, I will do another episode on the impact and experiences that were had in the cricket community
