  • TOTLB 270 Supernatural Seasons 13 to 15

Supernatural has been the topic of our last two weeks worth of episodes!! Here we are, at the very bitter end. It’s sad, because endings are never fun, and are hardly ever as good as we hoped that they would be. That’s not to say that this ending wasn’t as good, but it’s always sad to see something end!

So, we are here to discuss the final three seasons. Everything comes to an end here on these three seasons. The fight between Amara, and God, as well as the fight between the Winchester team and God. Apparently God is on some kind of mission to make sure that the Winchesters, and Castiel bend a knee to him! Let us know what you think/thought of the last season, and that last episode! It was definitely a tear jerker!

  • TOTLB 269 Supernatural Seasons 9 to 12
Supernatural is a topic that I KNOW you're not going to get tired of hearing about!! We are three quarters of the way through the whole series, and things are getting more and more interesting!! Here we are talking about seasons nine through twelve!
Just like seasons one through eight, we do our best to recap all of the seasons that we are speaking about, and then we give our impressions on those season. We talk about who the big bads are for each season, and what the overall arch of those seasons was. Nearing the end, we're starting to see some "bigger picture" things happening in the world that is Supernatural. It makes, what we know now, just that much more exciting!

  • TOTLB 268 Supernatural Seasons 5 to 8
Supernatural is the topic of these few episodes!! If you didn't listen to the last, non interview, episode, then you should go back! We are having a Supernatural extravaganza!! In today's episode, we are speaking about FOUR seasons!! Season's five through eight. Just like any season of Supernatural, the stakes get bigger and bigger, and the world in which the Winchester's live, gets bigger, and more complicated as time goes on! More involvement of angels, and demons alike! This is about the time that I had to figure out a way to keep pounding through all of these episodes, but make sure that I get it done before we recorded!! SO, I did cheat a little bit. So, if you find yourself ever in a predicament, like me, you can check out THIS list, of episodes that are non filler, and move the story forward. But for now, hopefully you enjoy our take on these seasons, and look out, because the rest are coming!!

  • TOTLB S89 Jim Beaver Supernatural
As a part of our Supernatural extravaganza, we bring you this awesome interview!! This is the second time that we have had the chance to speak with Bobby Singer himself, Jim Beaver!!
The first time we spoke with Jim, there were still a few seasons of Supernatural that were about to be released, and we spoke to him more about his career as a whole! Now that the fifteen seasons have come to a close on Supernatural, we wanted to speak to Jim about Supernatural as a whole! What his feelings are now that the series has come to a close, and what it ultimately meant to him to be in Bobby's shoes this whole time. We did squeeze in some talk about The Boys as well, in which he plays a character named.....Bob Singer! Come and listen to Jim talk about the last episode that was filmed, it's moving!

  • TOTLB 267 Supernatural Season 1 to 4
Supernatural ended just about two months ago. A little over a month ago, I asked the question; can we watch all of the seasons of Supernatural in a month? A couple of us had already watched all of it, one had watched some, and didn't bother to watch anymore. I, I hadn't watched one single episode at that point. SO, we decided, for the next 4 episodes, we would talk ONLY about Supernatural, as the series had come to a triumphant end. So, for this episode, we are speaking about the first four seasons of this fantastic series.
So, on a mission I went, for the next month, watching almost nothing, but Supernatural exclusively. This episode is special because it encapsulates my very first thoughts on the series. Hopefully you all have watched, or are watching, and will follow us along on this Supernatural journey!

It just means that we have to be safe in our own homes for a certain amount of time! We hope that you all are enjoying what we're doing here towards the end of the year, and that you all are staying positive!

  • TOTLB 265 We Are the Champions
This series is unique, from some of the others that we have covered up to this point. Unique, because there isn't really an overarching story, and the stories within don't really have anything to do with each other, aside from that they're all some sort of competitions. For this episode, we speak about the Rainn Wilson narrated show on Netflix, We Are the Champions.
We Are the Champions follows a bunch of unique characters, involved in their own unique worlds. From a dog dancing competition, to yo-yo's, hair, and the more entertaining cheese roll race, and an ulcer inducing pepper eating competition! I think one thing is clear in all of these competitions. You don't have to be competing in a "major" sport, in order to find some camaraderie with your fellow human beings. These unique point of the earth, bring together many like minded individuals, who are helping raise each other up. If you have a fun hobby, chances are, that someone else likes it as well! Don't feel alone!

  • TOTLB 264 PCU
It was 1994 when our latest pop culture classic, was filmed. This movie featured many names that are now, pretty household; Jon Favreau, Jeremy Piven, David Spade, Jessica Walter, etc. Not sure that this is one of their most memorable appearances in a movie, but it was a thing.
We are of course talking about the college comedy, PCU. PCU tells the story of a soon to be freshman, who is visiting PCU, before he is to attend the next year. He meets all of the different groups that make up the college, which of course, play on every single college troupe that you can imagine. Whether you're going to college as a pothead, a feminist, a partyer, or whatever, you're represented in this movie. We also speak about how hard this movie is to actually find, legally. It's almost as if the movie Gods have tried to erase it from existence!!

  • TOTLB 263 New Mutants
Our latest topic has gone through a few different iterations, before it finally made it to the big screen, and out of our mouths!! We're talking about the 2020 movie, The New Mutants!!
Of course, The New Mutants started as a comic book, created by Marvel. This comic book has seen a few different teams run through it's pages, including some time with the rated R hero himself, Deadpool. From there, Fox adapted the movie for the big screen. BIG, during the creation of this movie, at Fox, the house of mouse, decided that it wanted all of it's properties back. So, because Disney struck a deal with Fox, in order to buy their whole company, this movie hit MANY different roadblocks. Disney finally decided that they would do some reshoots, and just release the movie, almost exactly as it sat. This was the bookend to the Fox relationship with the X-Men, and hopefully we're onto better pastures, at Disney!

I stole the content of this episode from a different podcast, because I thought it would be worth it to go back to our roots a little bit, and answer some questions about comic books! Listen to the questions, and let us know what your answers would be!!
