  • Entrepreneurs: the Ideal Employee (The Creative Life)

Entrepreneurship: Transformation Toolkit.  The host for this show is Darlene Boyd.  The guest is David Ochi.

Who are the best employees of tomorrow?  It isn't just someone who waits for the boss to tell them what to do and then does exactly what was said without thought. The mindset and skillset of entrepreneurs are slowly being recognized as vital to great employees. We all want loyalty but innovation is a key driver of company success. How can we find, optimize and retain entrepreneurial employees? Even harder, how can we train the workforce of tomorrow? Educators are having to innovate new ways to face the challenge. Despite the creation of over 2,000 collegiate entrepreneur programs in the last few decades, 99%+ of student entrepreneurs will get a job after they graduate instead of working full time on their own venture. Is this a cause for alarm or simply a success dressed up as failure answering a different question?  Innovation expert, David Ochi has the answers as to how we can train and inspire the future ideal employees of tomorrow to be creative, innovative and entrepreneurial.

  • Testimony and Reparation (Transitional Justice)

Listening to Sexual Violence Survivors.  The host for this show is Jay Fidell.  The guest is Mariana Süssmann.

Jay Fidell and Mariana Süssmann discuss the complexities of listening to the testimony of sexual violence survivors, mainly in scenarios of transitional justice. The historical approach to this kind of narrative has been focused on the damage, the horror, and the perplexity of the events. In this sense, the victim's subjectivity is overseen and (re)instrumentalized to expose the cruelty of the survived transgressions. The alternative testimony opens the possibility of an encounter with a human being that, further than the facts, reconstructs and reappropriates its body while telling its story on its own terms.

Transitional Justice is coordinated together with Project Expedite Justice.
