Chris and Nell talk with D.R. Michel, Executive Director of the Upper Columbia United Tribes and he negotiations going on between the U.S. and Canada over the Columbia River Treaty. Although these tribes have depended on the Columbia River for clean water and salmon for the past 50-years, the Columbia River Treaty has excluded tribal participation in its tribal in its governance and implementation. This year is no different and they asked Michel why this continues to occur.
