This week West Berkshire and media GP Dr Rachel Ward joins Nik to discuss the final 4 episodes of BBC Drama "This Is Going To Hurt" which is based on the Adam Kay book of the same name.  They discuss some of the controversy that has blown up on social media including comparing and contrasting child birth from the mother’s and the clinician’s perspective and how the NHS often has to pick up the pieces when things go wrong in other establishments. Amongst other things they also talk about struggling as a clinician in all stages of training and the challenges of juggling home and work life whilst trying to progress in your career.
