  • Ep. 179: Embracing Yourself & Others Beyond the Surface Level: A Conversation with Rachel Seidman, A Deaf Sales Leader

I've been waiting on the seat of my chair to release this conversation because Rachel is such an amazing human and I love the truth that she speaks so freely:

A bit more about Rachel in her words:

I lead a $XB global advertising business at Google. I am passionate about driving value for my clients, helping my team grow their careers, and creating an inclusive environment where everyone can succeed.

I am deaf and have cochlear implants in both ears. My experience as a deaf salesperson has significantly impacted and influenced how I engage with the world. I want us all to include disability in more conversations, as such, I'm always happy to answer questions about my hearing loss. You can also reach out if you're looking for a speaker or panelist on disability inclusion or being a woman in tech.

I grew up in Kure Beach, NC and went to Duke University for college. I love baking, especially pies. I made 57 pies in 2019. I'm an avid reader, reading 132 books in 2021.

Today I am sharing the conversation I had with my friend John Neral for his podcast, The mid-career GPS. We talked about all the things, but mainly how being able to recognize when and how to pivot has been the cornerstone of my career so far - both in corporate and since leaving.

  • Ep. 177: There Are Always More Choices: A Conversation with Sunni VonMutius

Today I talk to a powerhouse woman, Sunni VonMutius, about her journey of leaving corporate to pursue finding alignment but more than that, we dive into Sunni's journey of creating connections with people with extreme viewpoints - what lead her to this project, what she learned and what she's taken away from it.

In a world that increasingly feels more and more polarized, I love how Sunni leaned in and became genuinely curious about humanity. I think we can all take a page from Sunni's playbook. I know I can!

More about Sunni in her own words:

From corporate shark to spiritual mentor - Sunni has reinvented herself many times over, each time finding an unexpected path forward and gathering new tools and stories to share along the way. After a successful career as an IT project manager she retired at 32 and then spent several years as a full time nomad bartering her way around the US. Today, as an Intuitive Strategist, Sunni is masterful at helping analytically minded people integrate spirituality into their daily lives and businesses. She is currently pursuing ordination as a minister of metaphysics and lives in Orlando with her life-long best friend and their cat and toddler.

  • Ep. 175: Debunking Mental Health Stigmas: A Conversation with Christie Rocha

Today I talk to Christie Rocha about all things mental health and postpartum depression, but really what we talk about is creating space for ourselves to heal and grow and come to a space where we can speak our truths.

A bit more about Christie in her words:

Christie Rocha is the host of Sass Says, a podcast to guide women on how to heal, educate, and empower themselves through therapy and real-life stories of perseverance. She interviews mental health professionals, experts, coaches, and women just like you and me who share her mission to debunk the stigmas and misconceptions about therapy and mental health. Christie is known for asking the “but how” questions so that her listeners walk away from each episode with actionable steps on what to do next when it comes to relationships, motherhood, body image, ambition, and what she calls, the Intangible. Self-care is also a hot topic on her show. Christie and her husband live in New Jersey with their two toddlers.

  • Ep. 173: Making Hard Things Easy to Talk About: A conversation with Raquel Kelley

Today I chat with my new friend Raquel Kelley. We get real & honest about so many things - the identity of motherhood, taking the leap from corporate, postpartum depression - and we are vulnerable, real and still manage to have fun while doing so.

A bit more about Raquel in her own words:

Raquel Kelley is a mother, writer, TV producer, and host of the MOMGUL Podcast. She began her career at E! Entertainment where she worked for over a decade producing shows such as Live! From the Red Carpet and Fashion Police. She’s also been a featured contributor for Condé Nast and The HuffPost.

After having two kids under two, Raquel relocated her family to her native Ohio. While her life may have changed, her career goal remains the same– make hard things easy to talk about.

Her first book, Where’d I Go?, flips the lift-the-flap board book on its head– written not for babies, but for moms. Comical and authentic, this little board book delivers a big message: mothers are women, too.

  • Ep. 171: Redefining Work Hard, Play Hard for Herself: A conversation with Lindsey Kaszuba

Today I dive into a fun yet meaningful conversation with Lindsey Kaszuba. Like me, Lindsey said f'it to her corporate job and took the leap to begin her own business. To do so, she had to come back home to herself and realign her ideas around success and working hard and playing hard. We also dive into perfectionism and how that relates to eating habits, specifically orthorexia.

More about Lindsey in her own words:

Lindsey Kaszuba helps women make small changes that create a big impact on overall health. She is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, entrepreneur, wife, mother, and founder of Lindsey Kaszuba Health. Lindsey’s mission is to teach and empower women that health and lifestyle can work together; she works one-one-one with her clients to create a plan to serve both.

  • Ep. 170: The Crushing Weight of Expectations

    Can women have it all?

I dive into this controversial question on today's podcast, in addition to talking about how we got here - expectations vs. reality. And how when we're not pausing to ask ourselves, how are we defining 'all' for ourselves, we are going to get crushed by expectations.

I hope you enjoy today's conversation!
