On this episode I chatted with Ed Eason, current guitarist for Carrie Underwood. We talked about his history in music, his struggles as an early artist in Nashville. His big breaks and the taking a risk to leave a stable gig to tour with a brand new artist beginning her career in music. We all know how that turned out!
"As a guitarist, I have the good fortune to play and tour with artists who have sold well over 25,000,000 units. I get to play on the biggest stages around the world performing in front of a million + fans per tour. If there is an award show or tv show to play, I've most likely played it...multiple times. These shows include Saturday Night Live, The Grammys, American Music Awards, Billboard Awards, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, People's Choice Awards, Letterman, Leno, Fallon, Good Morning America, Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve at Times Square and countless more. For the past 11 years I have been and am currently a guitarist for Carrie Underwood. Other platinum and multi-platinum acts I've performed with include Steven Tyler (Live pre-superbowl Crossroads), The Band Perry, Lindsey Buckingham (VH-1 live Fashion Rocks), SHeDAISY, and many more."
