Count Strahd von Zarovich slew Elric's family and the love of his life. He has come to Barovia to do the same to Strahd where he sleeps, but Strahd appears to no longer be Barovia's prisoner. As Elric and his fellow adventurers seek their fortune here, their travels bring them to Vallaki, in no small part to cure Drift's recent exposure to lycanthropy. What will great them in this "Jewel of Barovia"? Refuge or hostile parties?

Elric's band of adventurers seek revenge against Strahd von Zarovich for the murder of his fiance and cousin, and the part he played in trying to end the world itself. But they've found much has changed, and Strahd is no where to be found. Instead, Strahd's three vampire brides rule in his stead, each claiming territory for herself to rule over. In our heroes' quest to learn how to force Strahd to return to Barovia, tonight we meet the Knights doomed to remain eternally vigilant against the darkness.
