I interviewed Amanda Kate. Amanda was born in Perth, grew up in Adelaide, and then spent 11 years in London and Hertfordshire before moving to Melbourne in 2011. At University, she studied Communications and worked in Event Management and Corporate Communications for companies such as Schroder Investment Management and Shell International Petroleum Company. While the corporate game in London fed her need for success and her life goals at the time, it was not personally sustainable throughout the child-rearing years. She was on her own, across the other side of the globe from her family in Adelaide, and without support, she needed to prioritize motherhood and her children. This loss of self was what began my journey to Kinesiology and the life I am living today.

I interviewed Jamar Root. Jamar is a youth speaker, and recent Temple University graduate passionate about inspiring students to succeed. As the co-captain of his high school baseball team, Jamar learned the hard work it takes to not only play at a high level but also overcome the natural pressures of being a student-athlete. It wasn’t until his senior year, when Jamar was confronted by a group of football players who wanted to fight him that he discovered what authentic leadership and friendship were all about.

Jamar’s unique point of view and relatability comes from not being far removed from the struggles and pitfalls he endured in middle school, high school, and college. Now, Jamar utilizes these experiences to help young students find their voice and be a difference on campus.

I interviewed Damian White. Damian received his B.A. in Sociology from Davidson College. He currently resides in his hometown with his wife and stepchildren. He is a writer from Columbus, OH. He is the author of the poetry book I Made A Place For You, his debut collection. After battling two bouts with homelessness, he channeled those experiences into poetry to heal a fractured identity.​ When not writing, he can explore art galleries, play tug-of-war with his pups, travel, and find the best coffee in every city.

I interviewed Martin Salama. Martin created The Warrior's L.I.F. philosophy. This approach after spending years in emotional pain and turmoil after his brother, Michael, died in an accident when they were children. This event radically shaped how he viewed the world and drove him to become a people pleaser to ensure everyone around him didn't experience his pain. The only problem was — this plan backfired. Everyone in his life (including himself ) was miserable.

Soon after the financial crash in 2008, he lost everything he owned, and his wife of 24 years asked for a divorce. It was indeed a low point in his life. However, this pressure made him realize that circumstances go up and down, but his internal state doesn't have to follow suit!

During this journey, he decided to become a life coach. His training and experience when he graduated helped him further clarify what truly matters to him: relationships. So, he started rebuilding the relationships in his life, where he knew the changes would make the most powerful and long-lasting change; His first goal began by improving his relationship with himself.

Weight — literal and figurative — began to lift from him. As he sat still, listening to the 10-minute guided meditation and making an effort to clear his mind, a sudden download occurred. Inspired, he grabbed a pencil and paper. After several hours, he had the seed that would grow into The Warrior's L.I.F.E. Code.

The core of The Warrior's L.I.F.E. Code is learning to accept who you are and respond to life's ups and downs rather than reacting.

I interviewed Charles Smith. Charles is an Army Infantry Veteran, Author, and Certified Peer Support Specialist, and have a vast knowledge of Compounded Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Complex-P.T.S.D., addiction recovery, and practical awareness through his own life experiences, experience in these fields in a working/professional capacity, and a ton of research! His books are designed to support you through life's challenges and break through the walls of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction so you can live a fuller and happier life! Charles has lived with Compounded Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for 40 years and has been in long-term addiction recovery since 1993 Army Infantry Basic training as his detox. In his books, he adds real-life experiences. He said he did this for the people who have to live with this daily, from Veterans like himself to civilians who were dealt a bad hand like he was. His books are designed to make one think about their wellness, from mental health to safety and security. I interviewed Barbara Ann Mojica, M.A. S.A.S., S.D.A. Barbara Ann Mojica received her Bachelor of Arts (Hunter College) and Master of Arts Degrees (Queens College) in History. She also holds graduate certifications in school supervision and administration. She is a lifelong educator in early childhood and special education, having spent many years as a teacher, principal, and school district administrator. Retirement has brought the opportunity to return to her love of history. She is also a historian. Now retired, she provides education strategies and tips for parents and teachers through guest podcasting, book reviewing, teaching videos, and personal appearances.

Barbara writes monthly historical articles for the Columbia Insider under the “Passages.” Using the whimsical Little Miss History character to narrate her book series, Barbara hopes to educate, entertain and inspire children to learn about historical people and places. Little Miss History’s antics make reading nonfiction a fun-filled adventure for all ages. She firmly believes, “If you don’t know your history, you don’t know what you’re talking about.” The Little Miss HISTORY book series has garnered over two dozen awards, including B.R.A.G. I interviewed Peter Anthony. Peter has a master’s in communication from Sydney University and is the author of (Collabradabra: the magic of collaborative conversations). He is an expert in helping you influence customers, stakeholders, and donors, and to win pitches to them.  With forty years of experience in three professions on four continents. Pater stated, "In a nutshell, I learned to influence, not sell, and to pitch with a story, not a presentation". After studying economics and law at Sydney University he had his first taste in sales at IBM after a year of sales training before being allowed to sell to customers. Peter said that he found early on that the less he tried to sell the more his customers bought from him. He did the opposite of traditional selling and made the 100% Sales Club without ever selling. In 2005 Peter started his own consulting business from a laptop on his kitchen bench. Fortunately, two clients – Fairfax and Nestle – supported him then and remained clients for 10 years. The business boomed and over the next fifteen years, he worked on pitches for clients in Australia, the Middle East, China, and the US. He finally crafted his storytelling pitching method so that he could teach it to others, and his business kept growing because of his winning pitches. Recently, Peter has developed NFP experience by working with the Fred Hollows Foundation, International Justice Mission, and UNICEF.
