We all gotta go sometime...right?
Well, maybe we gotta go, but that doesn't mean we can't have a good time when we're gone. BillyBobb and his Neighbor Jerry hand pick a variety of songs that will serve to enhance their trip across that final river. Imagine being at the memorial service for either of these cool cats and NOT having really good music to send them along their respective ways. Now it may be true that the songs on today's episode all deal with leaving the world and all those near and dear to them, but the boys think you can find equal amounts of hope and cathartic inspiration as you bid them adieu.
So tune in and check out what might be found on their departure playlist.
By the way...what's on yours?

It's February, so romance, if not spring is in the air.
Today, BillyBobb and his neighbor Jerry invite their beautiful wives onto the podcast. Listen as Alice (Jerry) and June (BillyBobb) sit in and discuss the artists and songs that played some role in helping to shape those "Ties That Bind" as the relationships began to blossom. It's all about how music can bring people together...sometimes in a matrimonial manner.
We invite you to tune it and listen to our round-table discussion of the music that helped to shape our marriages.
As always, thanks for listening.

Happy Anniversary to all of you cats and kittens out there in Pod Land.
It was on October 25th, 2018 that Neighbor Jerry and I first recorded an episode of Three Drinks In. It was published then and boom...the wheels fell off. Over a year later, we finally recorded episode #002 and since then, we've been off to the races with a new episode airing near the beginning of each month.
Today we proudly present Episode #014...although it is being published out of sequence for this special occasion. The present we each gift unto you, our listeners, is the gift of:
THREE MUSICAL ACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW...BUT SHOULD

Well, we never said we were only beer drinkers, now did we. So today you can stumble through Episode 013 right along with us. We take a trip to Jimmie Jett's Petro Palace for a prolonged bourbon tour. And let me tell you...it was a GREAT tour. So it is only fitting that right along with a tour of various whiskeys that we spend some time talking about some of our favorite whiskey drinkin' songs.
Pull up a stool and pour yourself a couple of fingers of your favorite bourbon and come along for the tour. You won't regret it.

For those of us of a certain age, was there anything more relaxing in our years of innocence and escapism than wandering off to the local record store and flipping through countless racks of vinyl LPs? Not for me, at least.
I was fortunate enough to have a great place to go hunt for new or sometimes used records and just avoid the responsibilities of my teenage years. The downside was only the spending of money that didn't come easily. The upside was usually an hour's worth of vinyl euphoria once the needle dropped. But which one to choose? What would help me make that difficult decision? The listings of the tracks? Maybe...but almost always it was the beauty of the cover art that would catch my attention and make me explore the album even further.
Ah what a life.
Join my neighbor Jerry and I as we relive those thrilling days of yesteryear and discuss our personal vinyl collections in terms of the beauty that we found on the covers, which often times matched that of the music itself.

Imagine, if you will...
You've been granted the power to call back from the great beyond, one of your favorite musical artists. You can call them back and drop them into any venue of your choice and they will play one song only...of your choosing. Who do you recall? Where do want them to play? What song will you request?
Join BillyBobb and his Neighbor Jerry as they explore this very topic today on Three Drinks In.

Last month the boys regaled our fantastic listeners to stories about the three concerts that each of them wanted to attend, but for various reasons (lethargy and ignorance being primary in that area) just could not.
This month, BillyBobb and his neighbor Jerry switch gears and fill us with their three favorite concerts that they have ever attended and what made each show so special.
You've got time for a quick trip to the fridge for a soothing brew, so go grab one and let's fire this episode up.

Everybody makes mistakes.
Everybody!
Sometimes it's our own fault and sometimes it's just the nature of things. Among those saddest mistakes are the "opportunities missed" for whatever reason.
In this month's episode, BillyBobb and his neighbor Jerry sip some cool ones and reminisce about the shows that got away. They're talking about concerts that each of them wished to (and almost did) attend, but for various reasons things just didn't work out.
Which shows are on your list of the "ones that got away?"
Sit back and crack a cold one and feel right sorry for our two pathetic hosts as they take us to "The Ones That Got Away."

It might be in the title or in the message or just a passing mention in a particular line of a song, but BillyBobb and his neighbor Jerry have pulled together their suggestions for songs to be played as "last call" is announced at your favorite watering hole. There are sooooooo many from which to choose, that it becomes a little daunting. In the end, they just found their favorites...and went with that. Hope you enjoy this episode. Please tell your friends about it.
Thanks.

Billybobb and his Neighbor Jerry slide back into earshot with their staggeringly self-centered views on what the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has gotten so terribly wrong up to this point. Join them as they wander into another briar patch of controversy by telling their listeners (both of you) just who SHOULD be there and why.
