  • Throwdown Ep. 67 - The (Level) Grind is Real
Welcome to another episode of Throwdown!
Our featured topic this week is about grinding in games. Why is it that we are willing to do menial tasks in one type of game but refuse to do it in others? Why do the same people who trophy hunt refuse to farm for resources? We break down all the types of grinding and see which are more accepted than others.
Here’s the news we cover this week:
    – December 2015 NPDs: PS4 wins 2015 while MS takes spin to a whole new level
    – Xbox One reportedly sells 18 million units, fanboys are in denial
    – Sony tries and fails to market the term “Let’s Play”
    – Moronic petition for a PG-13 Deadpool movie is launched
This episode features: Tony Polanco (host), Emilio Lopez, Brian Munjoma, Brett Murdock, Chris Sealy, and special guest, John Phips (Mister Megative).

  • Throwdown Your Questions Ep. 66
Welcome to another episode of Throwdown Your Questions. This is the show which is run by you, our loyal followers. We answer any and all Video Game, Pop Culture and Tech related questions on this podcast.
Here are all of the questions we answer this week:
    - How big is your backlog?
    - If a "niche" game sells more than a AAA blockbuster, is it still niche?
    - Do you think it's outside the realm of possibility for Uncharted 4 to outsell Halo 5 now?
    - Do you guys think the PS VR will be closer to the Oculus' price range or lower?
    - Do you think developers and publishers will start thinking twice about releasing half baked games?
    - What gaming announcements do you think we will hear this year?
    - Considering how poorly Halo 5 was received, when do you think is the best time for Halo 6 to be released?
    - Do you think the Coalition can bring Gears 4 back to the level of Epic's Gears games?
    - How many consoles do you think Sony will sell this year?
    - Besides games and porn, what will be the biggest uses for VR?
    - For the PC gamers: do you plan on upgrading to the new Pascal GPU's from Nvidia this year?
    - Which PlayStation 4 exclusive will get delayed to 2017?
    - Which comic books are you looking forward to in 2016?
This episode features: Tony Polanco (host), Emilio Lopez, Chris Sealy, Brian Munjoma, and Brett Murdock.

  • Throwdown Ep. 66 - "The Price of VR is Too Damn High"
We're back, people! Welcome to the first episode of Throwdown for 2016! Hope you didn't miss us too much!
Since this is a new year, we've made some slight changes to the program. Throwdown is now officially a video game podcast. We've always been a video game-centric podcast but we also talked about Pop Culture and Tech as well. We've diminished those sort of topics and focused on gaming since the middle of last year but now we're just making it concrete. If something huge happens in Pop Culture or Tech we'll discuss it, but for all intents and purposes, this is now a strictly video game podcast.
Our featured topic tonight is on Oculus Rift VR. Earlier this week, the price of the peripheral was revealed to be $600. As was to be expected, the internet exploded in outrage, despite the fact that the machine sold out in minutes. We discuss both sides of this situation: Why the price tag is too damn high, and conversely. why it's actually "obscenely cheap" as founder Palmer Luckey stated.
A lot of news happened this week and here are some of the topics we cover:
    - Scalebound and ReCore get delayed
    - Microsoft's successes in 2015
    - PlayStation 4 sells nearly 36 million units worldwide
    - No new Assassin's Creed in 2016
This episode features: Tony Polanco (host), Emilio Lopez, Brian Munjoma, Chris Sealy, and Brett Murdock.
