Javier Baez hit a grand slam for the Detroit Tigers and Riley Greene had four hits with two runs scored in the victory. Jackson Jobe started on the mound for Detroit Tigers and tossed four innings allowing three earned runs. Houston Astros starter A.J. Blubaugh made his major league debut and allowed 7 runs with two of them being earned runs. Detroit Tigers bullpen allowed one earned run over 5 innings of work. Tommy Kahnle came in and earned the four out save for the Detroit Tigers. Detroit Tigers improve to 19-12 and are tied with New York Yankees for most wins in the American League. Detroit Tigers continue the road trip to Los Angeles to face the Angels for a four game series.
