The Detroit Tigers mounted a 9th-inning comeback to tie the LA Dodgers and force extra innings before Mookie Betts delivered the walk-off home run capping a 5-run 10th inning for the Dodgers and seal the 8-5 win. Beau Brieske gets hit with the loss surrendering the 5 runs in extra innings. Detroit Tigers tied the game in the 9th when Manuel Margot singled home Trey Sweeney. Riley Greene then appeared to give the Tigers the lead scoring Margot on an RBI double, but the play at the plate was overturned and Margot was called out, forcing the game to extra innings. Gleyber Torres homered for the first time as a Detroit Tiger, but he injured himself on the play and did not return. Jack Flaherty started the game for the tigers and went 5.2 innings before surrendering a two-run home run to Freddie Freeman.
