Tarik Skubal started for the Detroit Tigers and allowed 5 earned runs on 6 and one third while striking out. Will Vest earned the win pitching a scoreless 9th, Tommy Kahnle pitched the high leverage eighth inning and dodged trouble in the win.Riley Greene had three hits including a 3-run homer in the sixth inning. Trey Sweeney also contributed to the offense with two runs batted in and the Detroit Tigers once again have the best record in the American League and are tied with the New York Mets for the best record in baseball.
