The Knappstein name has been well known in the wine industry since 1895. 3rd generation vigneron, Tim became renowned for his no compromise approach to winemaking, producing consistent style and quality. An innovator and pioneer, he first introduced 'Fume Blanc' to the Australian market in 1978, and in 1980 botrytised Riesling.
Tim talks to Jill & Richo about being shortlisted for the 'Best Value Winery' at the upcoming Halliday awards and his label 'Riposte' in the Adelaide Hills which focuses on incredible Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and of course Riesling which is where it all began.
