There is a terrifying tale in the depths of the Readers Digest book of Folklore Myths and Legends of Britain. A Ghostly Nun who stares at sleeping guests in an old Rectory near Hampshire. I think it's worth visiting this story as the wheel of the year descends into darkness and Ghost stories are traditionally told.
