Llangar Church in North Wales is one of the most beautiful and serene places in the land. It is an old, almost forgotten place of worship adorned with ancient images full of stories.
The tale of its origin is even more interesting and must be told at the Time between Times

One of the most famous old folktales from Wales comes from one of the most iconic locations in Ceredigion. Devil's Bridge is an incredible series of structures, and the story of its origin is amazing. Sit back and relax, and join me at the heart of the forest for another tale as we leave the mundane behind and experience the magic of a tale traditionally told.

This week I bring you my most requested story. One which I often tell when performing live or guesting on other shows. an incredibly sinister story from Wales that was unearthed by Dr Delyth Badder when writing her tome on Welsh ghosts .
I have called it The Voice in the back room and you can read more about it in Delyth and Mark Normans' book " The Folklore of Wales - Ghosts " which can be found here
https://www.uwp.co.uk/book/the-folklore-of-wales-ghosts/
it is a scary one so listener discretion is advised and of course please do not listen when driving or operating machinery .

A wonderful old folktale from the Wilds of Cumbria sees a young girl with an interest in Witches put her knowledge to the test when one comes to call. This tale is taken from the Reader's Digest Myths and Legends of Britain and I really enjoyed telling it. I hope you enjoy listening to it just as much.

Just before Halloween, I have released two stories written by my friend and author, David Thomas, who collaborated with me on a few creepy Welsh tales. The first tale is a reading by myself of David's work, and the second is my interpretation of one of his stories. He is a very talented guy, and I hope you enjoy it?

An incredibly creepy tale from East Anglia starts the run into Halloween this week. A frightful fable of foolishness that still resonates to this day. Steady your nerves and join me at the firepit at the heart of the forest at the Time between Times for the tale of the Grisly Ghosts of Great Melton.
Please do not listen whilst driving or operating machinery and listener discretion advised this week as its quite a dark story.

One of the most capricious creations of Welsh Folklore , Y Ladi Wen haunts the hills and valleys throughout Wales to this day. Sightings are as common as morning mist in parts of the country and everyone has their own tale. In this episode I tell the tale of a famous encounter that still has ramifications today.
