it's been a while since I've met a friend at the firepit to talk about their stories and to tell one of their favourites. Today I am joined by Paranormal Investigator and Blogger Emma Holohan to discuss her experiences in ghost hunting and her fantastic blog Ghost Catcher Isles . I then tell one of Emma's favourite tales " The Phantom Drummer of Hickling Broad. ".
Sometimes being at the firepit can be a bit windy so please excuse some slight sound anomalies at the start

A lovely old Somerset folktale taken from the Readers Digest “Folklore Myths and Legends of Britain “ The Ballad of Blue Ben “ is an incredible example of creating a tale from your surroundings and making magic from the mundane .

A haunting historical horror of a tale is told today as we encounter one of the most seen Spectres in the UK.
The Ghost of Silent Pool is an incredible medieval ghost story and one that I am very excited about telling at the firepit in the heart of the forest at the Time between Times . I hope you enjoy it.

Trying something a bit different with this bonus episode today. Many of you have contacted me stating that you find the podcast very useful for meditation so I have tried to make this episode a little more of a mix between a Mindful listen and a story.
The Horse and the hillock is a traditional folktale told by me in a meditative way for you to enjoy. Its a story that features animal cruilty and a murder but is in the theme of those old folktales that we love.
I hope you enjoy it and please contact me or leave a comment on here if you would like to see similar episodes in the futre.

Special thanks today to Emma (Ghost Catcher isles @emmainotherland) for todays story suggestion that hails from County Clare in Ireland.
We have many tales of Mermaids to discover but few of Mermen. Maybe there is a reason for this if we only have the courage to find out.
A lovely old tale that I hope you will enjoy.

Time between Times returns this week with a classic Welsh Folktale from the Village of Gilwen in the mountains above South Wales. There many years ago a kindly Shepherd had an encounter with a Bwca that left a lasting legacy on the town itself.

I hope you enjoy?.
