Whether you are a person who prays for others and forgets to pray for yourself, or you are a seasoned pro at asking God for the desires of your heart, this episode has some of my favorite verses for inspirational prayer reference.
Sharing them in show notes because I’m no gatekeeper, but give this short episode a listen too to hear how I break them down for clarity and better understanding to be applied to your life.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory…
I pray these verses are helpful and if so, you pass them and this episode on to others who come to mind. God bless you!
Highlights:
(01:49) - Why praying for everybody else but yourself is not exactly the goal
(04:31) - The verse that reminded me to hand the whole plan back to God
(06:01) - A reminder that God knows best
(10:00) - Praying over your work, not just worrying about it
(13:42) - The verse that pulled me right back into trust

Interested in creating some new habits and need the motivation or time for them? Try incorporating the new things with stuff you’re already doing. That’s “habit stacking” and it’s truly a life-changer!
During a virtual therapy sesh, my girl, Nikki, suggested I find things I’m doing regularly and add in something I can do simultaneously. As a busy working mom, I’m no stranger to multitasking, so this concept proved to be so effective for me.
I’m sharing examples of getting in more time with God, journaling, and working out, all while enjoying my fave shows or lounging on the couch with a cup of coffee and taking in the gorgeous ocean view.
Highlights:
(02:27) What habit stacking means for me
(04:22) How I pair rest with something meaningful
(06:19) The simple habit that changed my evenings (but kept my TV time!)
(11:25) Simplifying a habit so it really sticks
(15:30) My biggest reminder: (SPOILER) keep it simple and start small

Have you ever been afraid to ask for what you really want because it felt too big or impossible? I have! I’ve even passed up opportunities that could have been meant for me because I didn’t feel ready or in a position to accept.
When an fun opportunity to record a podcast episode with the one and only Amberly Lago turned into a frustrating tech issue, little did I know that something bigger and better could be the result! The cool thing is that I had prayed for it more than a year ago, and I didn’t know if maybe it was too lofty a goal.
Now this is your reminder that no dream or desire is too big for God, so go ahead & ask for it!
Highlights:
(01:49) - The interview glitch that opened a better door
(05:10) - Why I am learning to pray more specifically
(08:30) - You have not because you ask not
(12:32) - What asking bigger can look like in everyday life
(16:02) - Why God is not afraid of your big prayers
(18:24) - Dare to pray boldly and expect more

I was reminded recently of the inspiring story of Corrie Ten Boom and her sister, Betsie, who were kept in Cellblock 28 in a Nazi concentration camp in 1944 and found a way to hold “illegal” worship services there. While their circumstances were unimaginable they thanked God, and what Corrie learned upon her release will shock you.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Highlights:
(04:27) - The story that changed how I see gratitude in hard times
(05:50) - Your struggle still matters, even if someone else has it “worse”
(08:01) - The surprising reason the guards stayed away
(10:00) - The detail that made the whole story hit even harder
(13:34) - It’s biblical!
(15:00) - A reminder to thank God, even for the hard things

What if you know you’re called to something, but the path there doesn’t look the way you expected?
I’m sharing what the ALIGN Conference stirred up for me this January, what it felt like to finally see a long held vision come to life, and why surrendering control was the real work all along.
I talk about faith, endurance, pivots, and the quiet seasons that prepare you for the big moments you prayed for.
If you’re holding a vision that feels delayed, or you’re wondering why things aren’t moving faster yet, this episode is your reminder that waiting doesn’t mean you’re behind. It might mean you’re being prepared.
Highlights:
(03:16) Why fear shows up right before growth
(09:45) Speaking the vision out loud before it happens
(16:40) What endurance really looked like in the hard seasons
(22:01) When vision and timing finally collide
(27:50) Trusting God when clarity feels far away
(35:30) Why this season feels like a true beginning

Inspired by Terri Savelle Foy’s take on the meaning of John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
She talks about how Satan’s plan of attack is to Steal your focus, Kill your dream, Destroy your faith.
Most often he comes DISGUISED! He’s a sneaky, manipulative snake, who plants seeds of doubt, shame, deception, dishonor, rejection, disrespect, impure thoughts, and distraction inside of us.
Despite this, I’m sharing how to reclaim what God has given to you (your gifts and your desires) in order to live life to the FULL!
Highlights:
(03:10) What it really means to live life to the full
(06:40) How distraction quietly steals your focus and momentum
(09:55) Why setbacks don’t mean you’re failing
(13:30) The danger of staying busy instead of staying aligned
(17:20) When it’s time to reset and start again
(24:45) Choosing faith, clarity, and purpose over fear

We finally made it through a year of loss, grief, pain, and struggle in 2025, but through it all God continued to send us blessings that became easier to recognize as we chose to lean into His plan over ours.
Between “no timeline” discoveries in Bible study, an overwhelming urge to “Call Pam” and obey, choosing a word of the year (or maybe it chose me!), and God doubling down on obvious signs that I’m on the right path to His ultimate plan, I’m feeling encouraged as 2026 begins.
All the pressure we put on ourselves to have certain things done by now may not be in Alignment with God’s plan.
Perhaps He is creating a greater work in us that needs to be done before moving into the things we are being called to do. As much as I saw a vision for my future and set goals to achieve it, I wasn’t ready yet. Now with a new perspective and too many recent experiences I never expected, it feels like a new beginning is on the way for all of us!
Highlights:
(01:45) The hair piece detour that turned into a surprisingly real “new year, new me” moment
(06:40) “God doesn’t have a timeline”- why that hit differently in Bible study
(12:55) The stage dream that burned down in 2025, and the mindset shift I needed
(29:35) My jaw on the floor in the carpool line
(31:10) I asked for an obvious sign and He over delivered

We’ve made it to 2026 and I’m kicking off the new year with Brooke Hemingway, the heart behind the Align conference, where I’ll have the honor of speaking on multiple stages in San Diego January 22nd-25th, along with featuring my book I’VE GOT YOU, GIRLFRIEND! in her Author’s Corner. (Link below to join us and my personal discount code!)
On this episode we talk about why “alignment” is not a fleeting idea, it’s an intentional decision, and how to spot the difference between normal growth resistance and the kind you create when you’re out of sync with what you’re being called to do.
Brooke shares her 2026 word, Awaken, and what it looks like to opt in on purpose, to rooms, conversations, and choices that actually move your life forward.
Brooke Hemingway is a former nurse and fitness professional turned powerhouse 7-figure entrepreneur, High Performance Coach, speaker, and mom of 6! In 2019 she created Align for Success and the ALIGN event that created powerful transformation in a community setting. From leadership, strategy, and mindset to tactically building a brand, she helps women become unstoppable and awakened to their full potential, while embracing their timeline and alignment in the process.
She is a visionary, a boundary pusher, and an out-of-box thinker who believes you can become anything you desire.
She lives in the ultimate belief that you can have it all without losing it all. Her passion is to help others drop the shame around making a lot of money so they can give the way they want and live the way they want!
Highlights:
(02:06) - The suitcase evacuation story, and why “aligned” hit different in real life
(10:00) - Obedience, flexibility, and the secret to doing business and mom life without burning it all down
(14:54) - Making decisions in alignment when life flips the table overnight
(22:48) - The resistance myth: growth resistance vs self-imposed resistance
