Did you know the Bible tells us to ask for what we want 33 times?
In this episode I’m diving into Matthew 7:7 in particular which says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
As we finish the year strong and move into a new one, I invite you to ask God for what you desire and trust that He will work all things together for good.
Remember, you are not alone. Reach out if you need extra support. I’d love to help! Coaching sessions are open for the new year and consultations are free. Let’s make this year your best one yet!
Highlights:
(01:36) Why finishing strong matters more than starting fresh
(09:34) Helping God create miracles
(17:29) Ask, seek, knock- the 3 Simple Steps I am committing to
(26:36) When the calling feels scary but you do it anyway
(36:38) Comparison kills clarity (and how to stop doing it)
(43:40) A prayer for what is next

If you have felt like 2025 was not at all what you expected, then this episode is for you!
After a series of unfortunate events in January occurred I wondered if my big plans would ever come to fruition. This year has been a much different experience than I anticipated. It’s been a time of slowing down, focusing on my family, giving thanks for the love and support of our community despite the horrific fires that destroyed so much, and doing more inner work in the last 10 months than my whole life. And what I know is that God does not want us to live with a spirit of fear. There is strength in surrendering and trusting that His plan is far better than ours.
With that confidence I’m moving forward no matter what comes our way and you can too!
Highlights:
(01:44) The children’s book project that sparked unexpected inspiration
(03:10) Therapy, Lexapro, and the honest truth about getting support
(06:40) Realizing the fires did not derail God’s plan for the year
(11:02) The nudge to “Call Pam” and how one act of obedience changed everything
(15:48) Finding a spiritual advisor and the new direction it unlocked
(19:55) The Scripture that reframed finishing strong in a whole new way
Mentioned:
1 Chronicles 28:20
David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.

Timothy, a longtime storyteller, is driven by his Christ-centered calling to build a more compassionate world—one word at a time. His book, The Night Before PAWmas, I had the privilege of working on to get it published with Landon Hail Press, invites readers to see the world through a lens of compassion, encouraging all of us to add kindness to the way we think, speak, and act. He hopes this story becomes a cherished tradition that spreads joy and reminds us to sparkle with kindness.
On this episode and at the end of his book he invites readers of all ages to join his Kindness Challenge: to choose empathy, offer grace, and be kind every day.
Let’s help him spread this message! Be sure to grab your copy on Amazon and pick up some extras for holiday gifts for your kids, their teachers, and friends!
Highlights:
(01:56) Timothy’s family and the pups behind the story
(07:54) Grief, faith, and how care ministry changed his path
(14:54) When a sidewalk rainbow shifts your outlook
(21:04) A prayer practice for letting go
(30:17) The heart behind the kindness challenge
(46:08) Hidden paws, a mouse, and the book’s cozy magic

Breathing seems simple enough, right? It’s something our body does automatically and rarely do we need to even think about it. But what happens when we practice conscious “box breathing,” also known as tactical or navy seal breathing, in times of stress, frustration, or panic?
This technique can help slow a racing mind, calm our nervous system, soothe pain, and sharpen mental focus.
There are several benefits of box breathing. It reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus and concentration, lowers our heart rate and blood pressure, and enhances mental clarity and alertness.
It’s been a recent game changer for me! Let me know how it works for you.
Highlights:
(08:11) - The moment I shifted into calm problem solving
(16:16) - Why box breathing works for real
(17:30) - Practicing the four count cycle together
(20:40) - How slowing our breath affects our body and focus
(23:05) - My honest experience with medication and panic
(27:45) - Adding it to my nightly routine

With a teenager and a preteen now, plus the aftermath of the Palisades fires in January, I’m finding that staying positive is imperative!
Focusing on what we say and keeping it intentionally favorable and encouraging, despite the stress that may be swirling in our minds like a real-life tornado, can be the difference in a hopeful future or a tragic disappointment. If we want our circumstances to change for the better, we must first speak words of goodness that will impact what’s to come.
Highlights:
(01:25) Why our words matter more than we think
(04:20) Shifting from reaction to reflection
(09:15) Language shapes our relationships, and our confidence
(14:40) You best hope you catch yourself (before saying something unhelpful)
(20:05) The power of replacing criticism with curiosity
(25:10) Choosing words that build connection and trust

Let’s do a check-in! How are those goals coming along as 2025 is nearing the end?
If you’re anything like me, who encountered a massively unexpected, life-changing event in January with the Palisades fires, you may be feeling like 2025 will come and go with none of your goals achieved. Or maybe you didn’t have a major incident occur, but you still feel like you’re no closer to your big or small goals you set than you were the week you dreamed them up.
Regardless of where you are on your journey, it turns out, we don’t have to let our hopes and dreams fizzle out completely. Instead of gearing up for a whole new goal, when all seems to be pointing to loss or failure, we can actually make a change in our approach to our goals. And just for fun, let’s keep it simple, shall we?
Highlights:
(01:18) The chaos, the fires, and finding my focus again
(04:10) Why “doing it all” nearly broke me
(07:30) The 3 steps I fall back on when life hits pause
(11:15) Change your protocol, not your goal
(14:50) What “compassionate containment” looks like in real life
(17:30) Finding beauty in the ashes (literally)

(13:57) Facing Fear with Faith
(22:42) Expanding the Box of Grief
(27:11) Building confidence through trust in God
(28:33) Gifts are there to be shared

I’ve always been one to compartmentalize when I feel overwhelmed, but my therapist (yep, that’s a new thing) introduced me to a different concept that feels a bit healthier. It’s a more intentional practice that’s healing in so many ways.
Turns out, this therapy thing is actually working, and I’m loving the peace that’s coming from it. I hope it’s helpful for you too.
Highlights:
01:03 – Compartmentalize to keep moving
05:20 – Returning home with mom for the first time
10:59 – The idea of “containment”
15:45 – Why it all comes back to faith
18:30 – Journaling for peace
26:10 – An everyday practice

I recorded this emotional episode a day after learning that the incomparable, faith-fueled, spicy Latina, tell-it-like-it-is, wildly supportive, genuinely kind and passionate prayer warrior, former Marine, neuroscience-loving powerhouse speaker, coach, podcaster, bestselling author, and my friend, Rachel Luna, passed away on August 4th, 2025.
To say Rachel has overcome some obstacles is an understatement. Despite the passing of both her parents from AIDS, battling an eating disorder and addictions, and beating triple negative breast cancer TWICE, she continued her commitment to serve others, bare her soul in hopes of helping us grow, and give all the glory to God. She was a loving wife and mom and devoted friend. I keep replaying the countless audios she’s sent me over the years, encouraging and challenging me in the best ways. She did that so well.
Our faithful speaking and coaching community is rocked in disbelief. Please join us in praying for her family. My heart is broken but hopeful that her mission and legacy will live on.
Highlights:
(01:32) Remembering Rachel Luna’s bold voice and ‘permission to offend’
(04:20) Her faith, resilience, and courage through breast cancer
(08:10) A Bible lover with unforgettable stage presence
(13:40) Inspired to speak with greater purpose
(15:30) The impact continues, even after her passing
(24:20) A heartfelt farewell and gratitude for Rachel’s enduring legacy
