In this raw episode, we go into a little bit of depth and reflect on Matt's self-growth over the past 5 years. Facing anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts he has come out of a very dark place and into a well-balanced and independent young man we see today. Matt reflects on the tough times and all the things he did to get out of that situation including doing the small things, the people supporting him around him and with the help of anti-depressants. This is a vulnerable episode and I thank Matt again for sharing some of his story.

We focus on breaking it down, telling our experiences with thinking about other peoples opinions, labelling our thoughts, butterfly effect of negative thinking, peer pressure and conforming to others, questioning some values and telling stories about our own spotlight effect - our insecurities.

We talk about mental health labels, physical health analogies, vulnerable conversations with others, some personal stories and just generally everything around purpose and mental health.

In this episode, I go over 4 of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to self-growth. These include things like self-growth being ultra-positive, never being upset, never failing and having to spend excessive hours reading books. This episode was really fun to record and should provide lots of value for those interested in becoming the best version of themselves. Hope you love it.
Thanks,

In this episode, Spencer Robertson joins me to discuss the new age journalism featuring short-form content on social media. How this has given rise to clickbait and consistent overstepping of the mark which has had a negative impact on athlete wellbeing. We also discuss AFL players like Christian Petracca, Olympic Champ Michael Phelps, Kevin Love and much more.
