Last night came the sad news that the body of missing Carrick on Suir teenager Elisha Gault was recovered from the River Suir.

She had been missing since St Patrick's night following which an extensive search operation had been launched.

Elisha Gault's remains were located by Waterford based Rescue 117 in the water at Killowen between Portlaw and Fiddown at around 7 pm last night.

Local Councillor David Dunne was involved in the search as well as Superintendent Wilie Leahy of Clonmel Garda Station who was heading up the investigation. Margie Rowe of the ISPCC also joins Fran Curry to encourage bereaved family and friends to get in touch if they need support during this difficult time.

Hundreds of people wil gather in Saint Mary's Church Irishtown, Clonmel today to pay their last respects to one of the country's longest serving Ceann Comhairele.

Sean Treacy's political career spanned over 4 decades during which he served as a local councillor, mayor, TD, Ceancomhairele and MEP.

He passed away peacefully on Friday at the age of 93.

Gardaí are investigating the disappearance of Carrick on Suir teenager Elisha Gault are appealing for 3 people to come forward.

The search for the missing 14 year old is now entering its 6th day From Carrick on Suir, Tipp FM’s Amy Ryan reports from the ground.

Superintendent Willie Leahy is leading up the investigation and makes a further appeal to three people who were in the vicinity of St Molleran's GAA pitch on the night of her disappearance.
