  • 6: New Years Resolutions vs Goal Setting
In this week's episode, I sit down and talk about how New Years Resolutions can kind of be a load of BS. Especially for those who suffer with anxiety or mental health, they're just another reason to classify the year as a failure or success - even when many shades of gray exist between those extremes. I talk about creating healthy goal statements for tangible results, prioritizing things that matter, and learning to go with the flow. Though goals and resolutions go hand in hand, it's important to understand the difference and understand yourself to make the most of them in 2020!

  • 4: Mental Health in Impoverished Communities [with Gabby Buck]
This week, EmyD sits down with Gabby Buck, who has been taking to social media to call out some inequalities she personally witnesses around her community. The ladies talk about access to mental health resources in places that funding, knowledge, and even advocacy for these things are lacking. They dive into the harsh reality that some people might not know they’re suffering from mental illness, because they’ve come to know a life of difficulty and struggle. Diving into the not-so-pretty parts of mental illness, Gabby and EmyD get really f*cking honest this week.
