With four novels available and short works as well, Sara draws from both history and folklore to create her stories.   She works as a web developer by day and writes by night. Anna Mocikat was born in Warsaw, Poland, but has spent most of her life in Munich, Germany, where she attended film school to become a screenwriter, and went on to work in the German film industry as a scriptwriter, producer, and director, where won several awards.  A huge fan of video games, she went on to work as a game writer in the German video game business for a while before making her childhood dream come true by getting her first novel published. She has been a full-time novelist ever since.   In 2016, she moved to the United States, and is now in South Carolina. Her English novel debut, Shadow City, was published in 2019, and she has gone on to release two more series, Behind Blue Eyes and Cyber Squad.   When not spending time in the worlds inside her head and writing about them,  she enjoys walking her dogs, playing video games on her Xbox, reading, movies, listening to Gothic and Industrial music, and everything relating to cyborgs…and may be one, herself.

Romance with a dose of sugar and a dash of spice  About Denise—from her website, www.denisenwheatley.com   I am a lover of romance, happy endings and the art of storytelling. My first novel, I WISH I NEVER MET YOU, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2004. I've since traditionally published several novels and novellas, including contemporary, suspense and paranormal romance. I strive to create characters who are strong, colorful and relatable, and tell entertaining stories that embody matters of the heart.  I am currently writing for Harlequin Intrigue and Tule Publishing. Ryka Aoki is the author of Seasonal Velocities, He Mele a Hilo (A Hilo Song), Why Dust Shall Never Settle Upon This Soul and The Great Space Adventure. Her latest novel is Light from Uncommon Stars, which was nominated in 2022 for a HUGO.   Ryka’s work has appeared or been recognized in Vogue, Elle, Publisher’s Weekly, Bustle, Autostraddle, PopSugar, The Daily Dot, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, The San Francisco Bay Times, and the Huffington Post. Her latest poetry was part of “Are you okay?” curated by Franny Choi at Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, and she was honored by the California State Senate for “extraordinary commitment to the visibility and well-being of Transgender people.”  Aoki’s work appears in many queer and mainstream publications and anthologies, and she was honored to work with the American Association of Hiroshima Nagasaki A-Bomb Survivors, where two of her compositions were adopted as the organization’s official “songs of peace.”  Ryka also appears in the recent documentaries “Diagnosing Difference” and “Riot Acts,” as well as writing for and acting in the award-winning film “Transfinite.”  Ryka was the inaugural performer for the first ever Transgender Stage at San Francisco Pride, and has performed in venues including the Sundance Film Festival, San Francisco Pride Main Stage, Barnard College, the National Queer Arts Festival, Yale University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, the University of Iceland, the University of Winnipeg, and Ladyfest South. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Cornell University and is currently a professor of English at Santa Monica College.
