Eclipses in Astrology are unique New and Full Moons. They’re connected to a larger narrative, representing significant beginnings and endings in some area of life. They are supercharged lunations and are a bit more unpredictable and erratic than a regular new and full moons.

This eclipse kicks off a new series of eclipses in Pisces and Virgo. The last time we had eclipses in these signs was March 2015 - February (and early spring) 2017, so these eclipses may be tied into similar life areas that were affected by these previous eclipses.

The New Moon in Virgo feels practical, grounded, and a time to check-in with your health and immediate environment. It offers the chance for a cleansing reset and can certainly usher in a new beginning, however, whatever new beginning is coming in has the weight of responsibility attached to it, with the New Moon being opposite Saturn. It also could be that this New Moon may point out that we simply cannot be everywhere all at once, and sometimes restriction is a good thing as it can bring balance to our lives.
