A Green Light For Peace

A group of 800 peace strategists in Facebook are taking action to make 2012 the year of World Peace, the first year without foreign wars anywhere. Their first step is the simplest and most popular: green lights are being lit in front of people's houses and apartments as a sign of solidarity every night. It is hoped that entire streets will be lit green during this campaign. The second step is in sharing a list of 1001 practical peace actions ordinary people can do alone or in pairs.  The third step is in sending a letter to national leaders requesting an end to the planning of wars of aggression.  Their fourth step is in improving the United Nations Bill of Human Rights to make sure that humans have the right to peace.
