Brandon formed a hell of a band called The Sad Bastards some years ago and for the most part, molded himself into the legendary Lubbock music scene. We sit and chat about his experiences in Lubbock. We discuss music, the music business, the Lubbock music scene, partying and more music! Brandon also shares with us some stories about the road and his time at The Blue Light Live in Lubbock, Texas. Brandon and I swap a few stories of the years gone by and lots of belly laughs! I truly respect Brandon's rock & roll attitude. It was a real pleasure getting to catch up with him and see what he is up to these days!

On todays episode I welcome into the studio, Alycyn Keeling. Alycyn's family owns The Wallace Theater in Levelland, Texas. The Wallace Theater is the old movie theater that has been the focal point of downtown Levelland for decades. Alycyn's family purchased the theater with hopes of once again returning it to a community gathering space. We chat about why and when her family purchased the theater. Alycyn shares with us her desires & dreams for the theater. She also explains to us how she hopes to get the community involved and we chat a bit on some fund raising events happening to raise money for the rebuild. Alycyn also chats with us about her experiences at Texas A&M University and a unique story about how she worked for the Bush family. I really dig this conversation and this cause!

Jacquie has a true passion for the Museum Studies industry. Jacquie is also incredibly knowledgable about art preservation & has a pretty active roll in the Lubbock art world. We chat about when in her life, the fondness for art started to develop. We converse about her education, the many job adventures she has experienced and how she got hooked up with The Buddy Holly Center. She has taken a vintage VW bus and turned it into a mobile photo booth! Not only does she have one, but she has two! I have a small obsession with the old hippie buses. So based on that reason alone, I invite Kaitlyn in, to share her story. We delve into the business concept, how she got started and her plans to grow. We also chat about where she located her buses and the struggles of owning vintage automobiles. She is a machine of a business owner!

He is a peach farmer, wood worker, musician, father, husband, and a soon to be Dr. of Horticulture. Vikram and I chat about growing up in Lubbock. We discuss how Vikram began wood working. We delve into the idea of being a Dr. of Horticulture and what that involves. We also chat a bit about farming, improving the Earth for future generations, and I just really like the guy! So much of my youth was spent drinking cheap beer & watching Kyle perform. Kyle has stepped away from music and now days finds himself writing books. We discuss Lubbock music in the early years, we chat about why Kyle stepped away from music, we touch a bit on the political state of the earth and of course we discuss Kyle's book! It was such a nostalgic conversation filled with "memory lane's" and tons of laughter!

On todays episode I welcome into the studio, Darryl Holland. Darryl is the owner of the Cactus Theater in Lubbock, TX. The Cactus Theater is the last standing theater from the Lubbock of years past. Darryl purchased the theater about 4 years ago. He is bringing some really unique shows & acts to Lubbock! He has a dream! He has a vision! So I invite Darryl in, to share with me his desires and his dreams behind purchasing the theater. We discuss growing up in Lubbock, why he purchased the theater, and the new direction of the theater. We also chat a bit on some of Darryl's side projects, including a local 50's style ice cream shop. I worked at the Cactus Theater periodically throughout my youth. So it was a nostalgic conversation for me! It was nice to chat with Darryl and to hear what the new direction will be for the theater!

Today I have the pleasure of welcoming into the studio, Amanda Brocato. Amanda is the muscle and brains behind Crazy Hoe Farms in Lubbock, Texas. Amanda is a highly intelligent woman. She has a true passion for farming and agricultural knowledge. We discuss her history as a cotton farmer. We chat a bit about the importance of feeding our communities via community farms. She shares with us some stories about being a woman in a mans industry. Amanda also gets very passionate about education, life after farming, and supporting the next generation of young farmers. Kelle Barnard also joins me on this episode as my co-host. It is a conversation filled with laughs & knowledge.
