Would you give your life for a loved one? Hopefully, yes.
But would you give your life for an ungrateful person who didn't like you? Ummm, maybe not.
But Jesus did, and doing so was a beautiful demonstration of His love for us.

Do you fear that if someone really knew you, they wouldn't like you?
Do you ever think that God wouldn't, either?
You must banish that thought and banish that fear, for God knows exactly who you are.
In fact, He knows you better than you know yourself!
Even so, He loves you!

God shows His great love toward all people -- those who are good and those who are evil. One way He does it is through what's known as "common grace."  We see this love of God in the world He's created for us to inhabit.

I know no Christian who would argue theologically against the love of God. I've even met people who are unsure God exists, but if He does, they're pretty sure He loves them.
But I'm not so sure most people really do believe in the love of God.
Join me for today's Daily Word & Prayer to learn why.
