We all are impacted by the changes in our societies. For myself I’ve noticed it even changed how I socialize, dating, eating, exercise routines, desires, motivation and everything in between. How have you been impacted lately? And what do you do to maintain a healthy balance while constantly needing to adjust since early 2020?

(Sorry I thought I had published this on Wednesday). This topic has some overlap of other episodes but I was thinking this through from specific actual examples of my parents since in our household we don’t have much of a discussion.

The complexities of the ego and impacts on workplace comfort.

Substances Tidbits (how to tell if substances may be a problem and societal views about taboos). Here we talk about potential lifestyle stressors leading people to choose certain substances and societal views of what is acceptable and what is more taboo.

Work Relationships and Ego (processing speeds, productivity, taking time off, work-life balance). Often times we are conflicted between what we need for ourselves and what our work needs from us.

Black Pride (race and ethnicity, privilege, racism, prejudice). We can see challenges already with trying to define race and ethnicity. How we look versus how we are treated can be impacting and can lead to privilege, racism, prejudice, and everything in between. The LGBTQ+ community in addition to sexual and gender minorities also is made of racial and ethnic minorities. Here we discuss some of the complexities (I talk about my personal experiences and opinions, this was recorded while driving hence background noise, this was recorded before the event and I intend to post more about my experiences and impressions following the event since at the time of posting I have already attended this event).
