These next tidbits we will discuss the new John Delony book. He asked many important helpful questions in his book and we will use this to help ourselves find balance. Here I review some initial questions and submit some of my own responses.

How to take a stress situation, especially one that is causing loss of sleep or inability to relax, and how to cope. Also here we delve into how to start feeling better and creating coping methods from scratch to tailor to a personal situation. Not one size fits all! Everyone can find out the method they are most comfortable to start using to feel better.

In part 2 we start further discussing how we can cope with stressors, methods such as using privacy to feel more protected. There are multiple options such as direct and open communication about a social stressor, or talking openly about reasons why we feel we can’t easily answer such as past experiences. Other people may place insecurities onto us leaving us feeling uncomfortable and distressed.

Communicating with Cis, Non-LGBT Friends (part 1/2, sharing about relationships, social complexities) here we talk in detail about scenarios underlying potential stressors that may arise when talking to people of different identities. Sometimes you want to be open and communicative and share about your life, especially with allies. But how do we address the complexities of our differences? They may think differently than we do, they don’t have to deal with some of the things we deal with. See how I try and inbox this topic. There is a second part and I will update as I come into more awareness as I’m processing out this social situation.

As I’m driving out from checking out of the hotel near Mountain High Resort, I start to record briefly some methods I’ve been implementing on my recent time off. Being off work I’ve been snowboarding and absorbing a change of scenery in the mountains. The sound quality is rough with a lot of feedback from the sound of the car on the road. I enjoy recording on the road as it gives me a couple hours to be creative while driving. But I hope it’s not too much of a pain to hear the road in the background.
