San Diego Pride 2021 was amazing!

Why do we fear rejection? It bruises the ego and touches on insecurities. Do you know what you look for when approaching the unknown? Do you like dating apps, socializing in the wild, letting people while with your buddies or blind dates? Are you even looking for dates? Or just casual flings? So long as the interactions are respectful to self and others, fun, healthy, legal and safe then I say GO FOR IT! Sometimes it can get confusing out there as to what we need or want or are looking for. Let’s talk more about it!

Things change! Time progresses! And we often aren’t the same person we were last year. The progressions May be small and u detectable in an hour, day or week’s length. But a lot of times we look back and notice maybe our mindset has changed, or we have different values for our time and energy or are seeking different things to feel more fulfilled. Pre Rona compared to during and at the (hopefully) tail end. Dating has changed and as we have all changed in life and gained more perspective this has impacted dating for many of us such as views, what we are looking for, how we date and experiences.

Sports, art, music, creativity. These are the places where our kind is often represented. We all know stereotypes of femme and masc styles, but how cool is it to watch ballerinos fly, or to watch drag queens dance, or female basketball players dominate! We are out there guys and we are often represented in sports and creative outlets. How awesome were artists such as Bowie, Prince, Queen Latifah. Pushing the gender barriers. Definitely motivating to witness, see and enjoy.

While dating and forming more close relationships more than friends, we often aren’t taught how to navigate conversations. We are often taught from a majority culture perspective.
