I really needed the walk this morning. I woke up just after 4am and managed to get out very close to sunrise. It’ll be easier to do once we get a bit more distance from the equinox.

Talked about the Lightning War series again and the new read, B R Kinsolver’s Shadow Hunter (Rosie O’Grady’s Paranormal Bar and Grill). I think the “Bar and Grill” series title is what hooked me because this is so far off my normal reading table that I feel like I’m reading over the sink in the kitchen, but it’s fun so far and I’m liking it.

Also talked about reading Butler alongside Cat. I’ve been spending hours a day on it for the last week. It feels good and I’m excited for it again. Finally.

I didn’t expect I’d have a window (or inclination) to walk this morning but once the bread came out of the oven (just after sunrise), the fresh, cool air drew me out. I talked about not writing yesterday, probably writing today, and Miles Phoenix’s Lightning War series (again).

I managed to record the whole walk and it was much more comfortable than yesterday’s broil.

Talked about leaving the Forbes series in favor of Miles Phoenix The Lightning War: Rising Storm. Enshrouded isn’t eating my brain any more and I talked about reading along in Butler while writing the Cat in the other window. Quite satisfying.

It was already too hot to walk when I got up but without the sun beating down, I took the chance and went anyway. I’m glad I did. The clouds are already breaking up.

I talked about Spaceship in the Stone, my writing day yesterday (which was mostly reading and correcting), and how I seem to be stuck in a gaming rut by doing the same things over and over.

A 4AM wake up has me walking almost at dawn again today. I talked about Spaceship in the Stone, the state of the landscape, and boundaries I’m having to enforce.

Talked a lot about the Forbes series, Spaceship in the Stone. Some about the Loomans I’ve Got Time. Took a side trip to Lester Dent and did my best to stay in the shade.

Got the bread baked before sunrise. Talked about Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy, Los Santos’s Atomic Girl, and M.R. Forbes’s retelling of the Arthurian myth in The Starship in the Stone.

A cool morning off to a brisk start. Talked about Looman’s, Tom Watts, feeling calm, playing Enshrouded (still) and the usual blather about the flora and fawna.

Nice morning for it. Comfortable walking weather. I talked a bit about Loomans’s I’ve Got Time lessons – which I spent some quality time with yesterday between novels. Trying to work against the clock of the rising sun without feeling rushed. Trying to be in the moment. Interesting challenge. Also talked about Enshrouded and trying to play a mage.

For some reason, the recording paused at 11 minutes. I noticed when I got home and added the sign off. Half a talk this morning, I guess. Usual subjects but I don’t know which ones I hit first so it’s a grab bag today.
