The Dodgers defeated the Padres behind seven strong innings from Tony Gonsolin, who has established himself as a legit starter in the rotation. Justin Turner returned to the lineup and provided three hits, including an RBI single to start his night. His presence in the lineup and eventually on the field will do wonders for the Dodgers. It wasn't all peachy for the Dodgers, as Caleb Ferguson came out with an elbow injury and Kenley Jansen's wild ride in the ninth inning was not reassuring.
