  • Cantankerous Grace: Remembering We’re Only Human EP 138

Email questions to the show: [email protected]

    Work with me 1:1

In this Memorial Day episode of TGTBD, Drew takes a reflective look at a few things happening in his life that have brought him back down to Earth and reminded him of one simple truth: he is both fully human and, deep down, a cantankerous old man at heart.

This episode is a reminder that while having high expectations is important, we also have to leave room for grace. People are carrying more than we often realize, and sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer is patience, understanding, and space for them to be human.

Life has a funny way of getting busy with the very things we once prayed for. And even when we’re trying our best, it’s hard to score 100% on every test life puts in front of us. Growth, responsibility, pressure, family, work, purpose, and faith all require us to keep showing up, even when we don’t get it perfect.

So, as this episode drops on Memorial Day, Drew sends love to all the nieces and nephews out there:

Be safe. Be present. Give grace. And remember, being human is part of the assignment.

  • Go Earn It EP 137
    COMPETE

The word of the day is COMPETE!!

It’s Monday—bring the juice and attack the day with energy and purpose. Compete in everything you do. Challenge yourself, push your limits, and give everything you’ve got, even when you feel like the tank is empty.

No handouts. No sympathy. No excuses.

Go earn it. Show people what you’re capable of when you refuse to back down.

Compete with others, but most importantly, compete with the person you were yesterday.

  • Feedback Is Fuel!!!! EP 136

Ask a question for the show

This Fast Friday episode explores the power of feedback and why it is one of the most valuable tools for growth in business, relationships, and personal development.

The conversation highlights the importance of going beyond surface-level compliments. When someone says a job was well done, asking what specifically stood out can uncover meaningful insights that help sharpen skills, improve services, and strengthen character.

Listeners are encouraged to welcome both positive and constructive feedback. Not every comment will be easy to hear, but every piece of feedback has the potential to create growth when actionable steps are taken. Feedback is only as valuable as the effort put into applying it.

The episode also examines how to move confidently when holding the cards and operating from a position of strength. Rather than disqualifying themselves before stepping into the room, listeners are reminded to trust their abilities, explore opportunities, and let their presence speak for itself.

Inspired by The Wealthy Speaker 3.0 by Jane Atkinson and The Referable Speaker by Michael Port and Andrew Davis, this episode offers practical insights on building a reputation that others are eager to recommend.

    Take the feedback.

    Apply what matters.

    Trust your value.

And stop counting yourself out before the opportunity begins.

  • Slow Livin' in 2026 EP 135

Ask a question for the show

In this Mother’s Day episode of Too Good To Be Drew, I celebrate the incredible women who have shaped my life, especially my mom. I share a few of my favorite memories and reflect on the love, wisdom, and support that have molded me into who I am today.

I also explore the idea of slow living through two beautiful concepts: Dolce Far Niente—the sweetness of doing nothing—and Lagom—the Swedish philosophy of having just the right amount.

Together, they point to a simple truth:

    “Enough is a kindness.”

In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, this episode is a reminder to slow down, be present, and appreciate what we already have.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mother figures who make life better every day.

  • Bursting at the Seams EP 134

Ask a question for the show

Today’s conversation is all about a feeling I honestly can’t fully put into words. So many great things are happening in my life right now that I feel overwhelmed... but not in a bad way for once. This kind of overwhelm feels like joy, gratitude, purpose, love, and growth all crashing together at the same time.

The best way I can describe it is this: I’m bursting at the seams. Goodness is just oozing out of me.

In a world where we usually associate “overwhelmed” with stress, anxiety, and burnout, I wanted to challenge that idea. Sometimes life gets so good, so full, so aligned, that your heart and mind struggle to contain it all. And that’s a blessing worth sitting with.

I also talk about the importance of having spaces where you can celebrate the good things happening in your life. Therapy and mentorship aren’t only for hard seasons. Having people who can hold space for your wins, your excitement, your growth, and your gratitude is just as important.

Too often we only show up to talk when things are falling apart. But there’s power in being able to say, “Life is actually beautiful right now.”

Take time to appreciate the moments where life feels full. Let yourself enjoy it. You worked for this feeling.

  • Human Medicine EP 133

Ask a question for the show

“Some people are human medicine. You spend an hour with them and everything feels better.”

Today’s episode is all about the people who pour into you without even trying. The ones who leave you lighter, clearer, and more grounded just by being in their presence. That kind of energy is rare and necessary.

This weekend, I had the chance to connect with some incredible coaches from Wide Awake, and my glass is full. Real conversations. Real intention. Real impact. Being around people who are committed to bringing light into the world and into the families they serve is a different kind of fuel.

In a world that’s obsessed with winning, there’s something powerful about shifting your focus to helping others win. That’s where the real victory is. When you lead with service, support, and genuine care, it always finds its way back to you.

Take inventory of your circle. Who feels like medicine to you? And just as important, who are you being for others?

Stay intentional. Stay grateful. Keep pouring into what matters.

  • Blessed and Highly Favored EP 132

Ask a question for the show

This Friday episode is all about gratitude, momentum, and recognizing when life is hitting on all cylinders. This week has been one of those rare stretches where everything just feels aligned. From clients to family to friends, the support and trust have been overwhelming in the best way.

Sometimes we move so fast that we forget to pause and actually feel the wins. Not this time. This episode is a reminder to acknowledge when things are going right, to celebrate progress, and to sit in the joy you’ve worked for.

Drew reflects on what it means to be trusted by others to help bring out their best and why that responsibility is never taken lightly. There’s power in recognizing your blessings out loud and even more power in fully embracing the season you’re in.

Take a moment today to count your blessings. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. And when life feels like it’s clicking, don’t downplay it… lean all the way in.

  • Find the Words, Change the World EP 131

Ask a question for the show

Language shapes how we live and connect, so we have to be intentional with it. Too many men are feeling deeply but don’t have the words to express it—and without language, you stay stuck.

In this episode, Drew talks about building the vocabulary to better understand yourself and communicate what you’re going through. When you find the words, everything starts to open up.

    Challenge

Find 2 to 3 people to mentor and pour into. Share your time, your wisdom, and your words.

We grow by pouring into each other.

  • Invest & Reinvest in Friendships EP 130

Ask a question for the show

Building real, equitable friendships doesn’t just happen. It’s intentional. It’s effort over time. It’s choosing to show up again and again.

Inspired by Michelle Obama in Becoming, this episode dives into what it truly means to “invest and reinvest” in the people you care about.

Friendship isn’t 50 50 every day. Sometimes you give more. Sometimes you need more. The key is awareness. Knowing what you need. Paying attention to what they need. And being honest about both.

This isn’t passive. It takes effort. It takes checking in. It takes carving out time even when life gets busy.

    And sometimes, it’s simple.

A coffee. A quick bite. A conversation that reminds someone they’re not alone.

    Small moments. Big impact.

If you want better friendships, don’t just wait for them. Build them. Maintain them. Reinvest in them.

Because the best relationships aren’t found. They’re formed.

  • YOU GOTTA WORK AND REST EP 129

Ask a question for the show

It’s Wednesday, and we’re right in the middle of the week—so this episode is all about something most people struggle with… doing absolutely nothing.

Drew dives into the idea of dolce far niente—the sweetness of doing nothing. Not laziness. Not avoidance. But intentional, guilt-free rest. The kind where you slow down, breathe, observe, and just exist without feeling like you need to earn it.

After taking a full day off, Drew reflects on how rare it is to truly unplug—and how necessary it is. There’s a difference between wasting time and restoring yourself. One drains you, the other fills you back up.

A reminder he always shares with his clients shows up again here: when it’s time to work, work. When it’s time to rest, rest. No overlap. No guilt. Just presence in whatever moment you’re in.

The episode also shows love to friends and teammates celebrating April 22nd birthdays, with a look into the intentional ways Drew makes people feel seen, valued, and appreciated on their special day.

Plus, a quick life update—two more books finished this week, bringing the 2026 reading count to 12 and climbing.

Midweek check-in: are you allowing yourself to rest the same way you push yourself to grind?
