  • BE A GOOD PERSON‼️ EP 128

Ask a question for the show

Welcome back to another episode. It’s Monday, and life has been really good lately.

In this episode, I reflect on the impact of reading 12 Notes on Life and Creativity by Quincy Jones and how it’s been shifting my perspective. There’s something powerful about learning from someone who operates at such a high level in their craft while staying deeply intentional about how they show up for others.

One idea that stuck with me:

“Make sure the music is never better than you as a person.”

That line has weight. It’s a reminder that who you are matters more than what you produce.

    This conversation dives into:

    • What it means to operate at a high level as a person, not just in your work
    • Why success isn’t accidental when you’re intentional with your energy and actions
    • The importance of putting real love and time into people, simply because it’s right

If things have been going well in your life, this episode is a reminder to stay grounded in that, and to keep building from a place of integrity and care.

Operate well. Treat people right. The rest tends to follow.

  • Give A LiL' Mo' Ep 127

Ask a question for the show

Dig deeper than surface-level passion. There’s something in you that pulls at your heart for a reason. This episode is a call to action to stop scrolling, stop waiting, and start investing your time into causes that actually mean something to you.

Whether it’s mentoring, community work, giving back, or simply showing up for something bigger than yourself, your time and energy have real impact. Especially for the younger generation, this is about stepping up early and realizing that purpose isn’t found, it’s built through action.

If you’ve ever felt like you have more to give, you probably do. The question is: where are you putting it?

Tap in, get intentional, and start pouring into what matters.

  • Refill Your Cup EP 126

Ask a question for the show

You can’t pour from an empty cup and too many people are out here running on fumes.

Friendship is powerful but it can also be draining when you are constantly giving more than you are getting. In this episode, Drew breaks down the reality that real friendships are a two way street. It takes balance, effort, and showing up even when it is not convenient.

He talks about what actually makes someone a great friend, how to build meaningful relationships, and why consistency matters more than big moments.

With friendships now stretching 25 plus years, Drew reflects on what it really means to grow with people over time and why the right ones are always worth the energy.

  • Plan Silently, Attack Violently EP 125

Ask a question for the show

Not everything needs to be shared.

Some dreams grow better in private. No opinions. No noise. No doubt.

Truth is—everyone isn’t rooting for you.

Some people are only comfortable with the version of you that doesn’t outgrow them.

    So stop talking. Start moving.

    In this episode:

    • Why silence is power
    • The risk of sharing too soon
    • Letting results speak louder than words

Protect it. Build it. Then show it.

  • Bring You 2 Everything You Do! EP 124

Ask a question for the show

The best thing you can do for yourself? Bring you into everything you do.

Life’s too short to hide, fake it, or try to be someone you’re not. If you’re a great person—be you, fully. If you’re not where you want to be—then do the work to become someone better. Either way, own it.

Most of us are already pretty incredible. The problem? We don’t let people see it. We overthink, we compare, we perform. Why take the hard route when being real is actually the easiest path?

In this episode, Uncle Drew breaks down a powerful coaching moment with a client who’s making serious progress by doing the exact things he doesn’t want to do. Leaning into discomfort. Flipping the script. Using reverse psychology on himself.

Because sometimes the breakthrough isn’t doing what feels right—it’s doing what you’ve been avoiding.

Be real. Be bold. Be better.

Ask a question for the show

Opportunities don’t always look perfect—and sometimes, we miss them.

In The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, one small moment changes everything. A reminder: the little decisions matter more than we think.

    Missed it? Learn from it.

    Passed on it? Trust it.

What matters is what you do next.

No rewinding. No regret. Just forward.

Stay ready—because the next opportunity is already on its way.

  • Fast Friday & Friendship EP 122

Ask a question for the show

Fast Friday energy—but real friendship doesn’t come fast.

Making friends later in life takes effort. You’ve got to put yourself out there, take risks, and be willing to be vulnerable. Say what you need. Be real about what you’re looking for.

And don’t get it twisted—this isn’t passive. You have to show up. Check in. Be there in the highs and the lows.

The bar for friendship is high.

Don’t limbo under it—rise to it.

  • Nobody Is You-er Than You EP 121

Ask a question for the show

Inspired by the timeless words of Dr. Seuss, this episode is a reminder that your greatest strength is simply being yourself. In a world that often pushes comparison, we explore what it means to embrace your individuality, own your values, and understand what you’re truly made of.

When you lean into who you are—fully and unapologetically—you create the kind of impact no one else can. Because the truth is simple: everyone else is already taken.

  • Uber Everywhere (MadeinTYO) EP 120

Ask a question for the show

Back in the driver’s seat with another real one.

This episode of Too Good to Be Drew dives into the everyday world of rideshares—Uber, Lyft, and everything in between. What grinds my gears? The lack of care, energy, and basic customer service that’s somehow become the norm. But on the flip side… what earns a big tip from me? Effort. Presence. Pride in the job.

It’s wild—average service nowadays will get a tip from me, just because it stands out. That’s where we’re at. But every now and then, you come across someone who shines—someone who brings great energy, communicates, takes pride in the ride, and actually makes your day better. Those people? They deserve their flowers.

This episode is about appreciating those moments, calling out the standard we’ve let slip, and challenging ourselves to be the kind of person who shows up like that—every day, in every space.

Because at the end of the day… I hope I’m bringing that same light to the people around me.

    It's good to be back!!

This episode is a simple reminder—sometimes it’s just one small adjustment that changes everything. One decision, one shift in your day, one choice about how you move or who you’re around. It’s not about being perfect or stressing over every move… it’s about being a little more intentional and owning whatever comes with it. Win or learn, we keep it pushing. Let’s get back to it.
