Today on Too Opinionated, Two-time Emmy Award Nominated Makeup Artist and celebrated jazz singer Angie Wells who can be heard nationwide on SiriusXM's 'Real Jazz" and seen performing in jazz clubs and festivals worldwide.

Angie is known for her resonant soulful voice & original captivating storytelling lyrics that often includes commentary on civil rights issues. She channels Nina Simone in her spell-bounding jazz, blues, soul and gospel sound. Mark Ruffin is the Emmy-winning broadcaster and journalist who hosts SiriusXM trendsetting 'Real Jazz' channel, and this year he invited Angie to perform in-studio.

Angie first made a name as a celebrated Hollywood makeup artist with 2 Primetime Emmy Award nominations including for her work on AMC's "Mad Men." She is also behind the make-up for the award-winning historical drama films HARRIET and MUDBOUND. Each year, Angie also crafts the perfect looks backstage before both nominees and presenters are beamed live to the world at the Emmys, Academy Awards, and Golden Globes.

"Truth Be Told" is Angie's new album and is the latest chapter in the artist's journey. From the opener "There's Always Time For Lovin," Angie takes her listeners on a journey from traditional jazz to funk as well as paying homage and throwing back her sound with the utilization of an organ, and flute quartet on certain tracks. Angie truly shows off her strong vocals throughout the album in a sweet and stylistic R&B manner.
