Bryce and Kathryn embarked on an incredible journey during the pandemic. When traditional musical gatherings became impossible, they were called to the challenge of bringing choirs together safely. They got creative. They got fanatical.

What's even more fascinating is how the pandemic pushed them into a community they didn't know existed. They met fellow musicians who would go to extreme lengths to hone new skills that turned out to be crucial to the mental health of thousands. Their Driveway Choir project spread to 20 states and was featured on the Today Show and in the New York Times. It was so meaningful that they decided to create a documentary titled, "The Drive to Sing", detailing how brilliant minds and lonely singers found a way to persevere.

With degrees in physics and piano performance from Oberlin College, Bryce brings together technical expertise and artistic passion in a unique way. As a music educator, Kathryn is committed to bringing musicians of all levels together to perform their best. The Denneys met at Oberlin and have been collaborating as musicians ever since. Their story will resonate with anyone who appreciates the blend of professional know-how and creative pursuits.

The Drive to Sing is truly inspiring, showcasing resilience, adaptability, and the powerful influence of the arts. Meeting with Bryce and Kathryn ensures an intriguing discussion about music, innovation, and the enduring spirit of humanity.

The Drive to Sing

Documentary

When COVID-19 silenced choirs in March 2020, singers sought connection. Zoom helped socially but couldn't fill the musical void. Tech-savvy musicians stepped up with an idea: parking lot choirs. Singers, each in their car, harmonized under the open sky, gaining national attention. "The Drive to Sing" is an uplifting documentary showcasing this journey of resilience, innovation, and the enduring power of music during challenging times.
