Two weeks ago I shared that I was featured on the Huffington Post and I was overwhelmed by the positive response. It felt pretty amazing!
But let me be super honest I get rejected waaaay more times than I get featured anywhere. So today I thought I would share how facing my fears is helping me build resilience and reach for my dreams.
Also thought I would share a rejection email :)
For the longest time, I thought if I was successful or if my hip didn't hurt so much I would be happy. We have all been in this situation where the promise of something better is just waiting for us. A couple of months ago I wrote a Poem called The End of Suffering you can read it here.
And lately, I started to think. How can we stop wanting things? So I made a diagram, a video, and a podcast. (I don't take these things lightly)

Today’s episode is all about what is holding you back…. The negative self-talk that says “I cant” “I will never be able to” but what if…” “This is not good enough”. That voice that shows up as a “truth” in your head but it's
a. most likely not true
b. Getting yourself in the way of what you want in life.

This interview will help you understand both the simplicity and the essence of Yoga I've listened to this podcast so many times. I feel every time I listen to it something new sinks in.
Josh Vincent is considered the teacher of teachers in the San Diego Community he has studied in-depth with senior Ashtanga teachers, such as Richard Freeman and Tim Miller and senior Iyengar teachers, such as Gabriel Halpurn and Aadil Palkhivala. He is the co-founder of Bergamont Yoga and impersonates what Yoga is in his life.
If you are ever in San Diego I highly recommend taking his class. He teaches Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon-2pm as he said he creates space for thinking, feeling and I would add laughing. Sundays at 9am-11am.
“When walking, walk. When eating, eat.” ~Zen proverb
We are a society of multitasker. We want to get the most amount of things done in the least amount of time, but we don’t. Instead, we procrastinate, look at social media, stress, and are for the most part completely inefficient.
Multitasking is the enemy of productivity and mindfulness. A personal example is the fact that I’ve looked for my phone while talking on the phone and the worst part is I know I’m not alone. So how do we monotask? How do we stay rooted and grounded one task at a time?
