Happy Wednesday, and yes, the Erik Karlsson content continues. It is Erik Karlsson week after all! Hunter and Pat start the show off by discussing who between Kris Letang and Erik Karlsson will be getting the true top pairing minutes. Is it going to be closer than some think? Hunter gives his argument for what could put Kris Letang over the top while Pat gives his argument as to who is going to get the more time. They then discuss how this is a great luxury for the Penguins and Mike Sullivan to have since they've never really had this for as long as he's been the head coach. After that, they discuss a couple of comments that Mike Sullivan made to Josh Yohe recently and how he's super pumped about the deal after the Jacob Chychrun thing fell through with Ron Hextall. They look at who he will likely deploy Karlsson with and how he's not super concerned about his defense since he won't have to be the same player that he was with the Sharks. Finally, they debut a new weekly segment for the first time and while it won't fully start until the regular season begins, they both thought it'd be best to debut it for this Wednesday edition of the show.
