Another GREAT Book by Debbie Macomber

This book was supplied to me by Ballantine Books through NetGalley in exchange for a review.

Description of Book

Struggles and surprises are in store for the tight-knit group that gathers at A Good Yarn shop in Seattle! Lauren is tired of waiting for her boyfriend to propose. Newlywed Bethanne is attempting a long-distance marriage. And Lydia is stunned by an act of kindness. How will these women's lives intersect---and be enriched by friendship? 384 pages, hardcover from Ballantine.

My Review

I have read just about all of Debbie Macomberâs books. She is my ultimate FAVORITE author.

This book is a GREAT book as always. This book mainly deals with Lauren and âRoosterâ Wayne. Funny name, but a GREAT character I think. Lauren Elliott has about had it with her boyfriend of 3 years and decides to break up with him. He doesnât take this very well at all. Then, she meets âRoosterâ Wayne from California. He comes to Seattle with his good friend Max so Max can see his wife, Bethanne. Anyway, Lauren starts seeing Rooster, and love is in the air.

There are other characters in the book as well. There is Lydia, Brad and Casey their daughter who they have adopted. She has issues and is having nightmares and they have to deal with these. Then Lydiaâs mother becomes a problem as well.

This is all I am going to say about this book so I wonât spoil it for other people to read. This is one of my all time favorites by Debbie Macomber.

Thanks, Debbie for giving us readers such good books. I love them all, but this one tops them all I think.

I will definitely suggest this book to my friends and family. I wonât say anything else about this book, you will love it.

I hope everyone who loves a good romantic story will pick up this book.

Wonderful read.

I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. I started it early Saturday morning and stayed up until 7 am on Sunday to finish it. The story was amazing. We revisited some very favorite couples. Lydia and Brad with their adopted daughter Casey who is having terrible nightmares. Casey finally agrees to talk to a counselor. That's not the only issue with Lydia. Her mother is failing and she is worried about what will happen when Casey looses the only grandmother she has known. But they aren't the main characters in the story. Bethanne and Max make a reappearance. And Annie, Bethanne's daughter with Grant her ex. Annie is still being annoyingly disrespectful to Max. She wants her mother and dad back together.

Title: Adam: My Literary Alter Ego

Author: L. David Harris

Narrator: Rebecca Roberts

Format: Unabridged

Length: 1 hr and 6 mins

Language: English

Release date: 12-23-15

Publisher: Rebecca Roberts

Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 1 votes

Genres: Fiction, Contemporary

Publisher's Summary:

If you've heard any of my secular books, you have seen repeated references to this mystery character. Adam is a principle, more than an individual person. I am Adam. You will see various aspects of my life in the story. Adam is a confluence of a few great minds, writers, and editors in their own right, whom I've been blessed to call upon to make some of my short listens a reality.

The story of Adam, with all its simple intrigue, is one that touches the lives of so many people around the world. It's a story that requires the listener to think, feel, laugh, cry, reevaluate, dream, succeed after failure, etc. It speaks to the heart of family matters, our need to find purpose in life, and make a lasting impact on the world around us. We have each been given a story to tell. And in each of our lives, we have various and sundry vehicles by which to tell those stories.

This story carries you through the life of a young man who was born in the sunny, beautiful Caribbean and migrated to the US to find a better life. He found trials, challenges, love, fulfillment, joy, pain, family, and the determination to make this world a better place in the process. He found the need to simplify his life as he provided for his new family. Like you, this Adam had to come of age in order to find "his" story while he contributed to the lives of so many others, to help them develop their stories.

Truth is, you too are Adam. Whether you are a man or woman, his story, in so many ways, is your story. Welcome into the world of Adam: My Literary Alter Ego. Don't be surprised if you learn more about yourself than you do about him.

Great Read

The ending took me by surprise. Definitely not what I was expecting. This is a great read. It kept my interest from the very first paragraph. I recommend reading this mini horror story.

A must read horror story!

It has been a while since I've read a horror story but this one has me wanting to read more. The book cover caught my eye and the story did not disappoint. There was never a dull moment and it left you wanting more! I hope the author comes out with a sequel or better yet a series of these books! I would definitely purchase them. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good horror read.

Great book

I really enjoyed this book. Short stories are hard to write because of the limited number of pages to build the story. And it's even harder to end the book well. The author manages to do both. Great book. 5 Big Stars

Refreshing

Love the sci-fi fantasy twist. Great visuals of the world. The author did a fantastic job of telling the story from the pint of view of a young man.

cheers to a great short story

I really enjoyed this short story. It was well worth the trouble I endured while trying to download it. The story hit close home with students in school these days, with a little twist of course. Thank you Troy (Cherry).
