  • 25. Going to therapy, imposter syndrome & possible coeliac diagnosis?

Going to therapy, opening up about my mental health & maybe I'm coeliac?

Happy Monday Tater Tots!! In today's epsiode, ya girl opens up about her mental health a bit more & why I've been a bit slow on the socials of late. I finally booked myself in to see a Psychologist (woo!!) and really want to normalise going to therapy and talking about it as someone with a platform. I also dive into my thoughts on thinking I'm undiagnosed ADHD and that all of my gut issues may very well be due to having coeliac disease. Lots to unpack here. Thanks for listening and being the most patient fam ever.

  • 18. Living with Endometriosis ft. Kyah Zois
Happy Monday #tot fam!! In today's episode I welcome Kyah back onto the podcast to chat candidly about her experience with Endometriosis. For those of you who don't know, endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus (the endometrium) grows outside your uterus. It occurs most commonly in your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Kyah was recently clinically diagnosed with endometriosis & so kindly opens up about her experience. We talk about how/when she started noticing symptoms, what her symptoms were, multiple misdiagnoses from many GPs/professionals, fertility, the 'normality' surrounding painful periods and dismissal of pain, the pill as a treatment/bandaid for endometriosis + so much more.
Thanks so much for listening! Be sure to follow us on IG @topicsoftaboo if you would like to get involved (or even featured) in future episodes!

  • 17. A million mental breakdowns & a Facebook hacking (general life update)
Happy Monday tater tots!! I'm back with a bit of a sombre one today. In today's episode I open up about my (poor) mental health including *but not limited to* anxiety, mood swings, a few too many mental breakdowns, my gut health, spiralling/self diagnosing, losing friends & my Facebook getting hacked. Yep, 2021 has been a shit one so far buttt I'm crossing my fingers for the rest of the year. I just wanted to highlight how social media can be such a facade. You never really know everything going on in another persons life unless they tell you. I haven't had the energy or mental capacity to create content for a few weeks and I apologise for that even though I don't have to. I don't even owe anyone an explanation, but I decided to provide one because you deserve it. I am so thankful to have a followers like YOU. So thank you for being patient with me, thank you for understanding and not expecting content from me when I'm not doing so great. It means more than you would know, so thank you.
