    Your boy Dougie been flying under the radar for while, but he’s back at it last week with a cabinet shuffle in an obvious move preparing for next years election. But as part of his “genius” move, Minister Rod Philips (myyute who dipped off to a Caribbean island in the middle of the pandemic and pretended he was still at home on a zoom call) was brought back in to be the Minister of Long Term Care, replacing Marliee (Super Karen) Fullerton. 🤦🏽‍♂️
    Special shout out and congratulations to Hon. Justice Mahmoud Jamal, the first muslim and person of colour to be nominated to the SCC. A big move for the country and proud moment for the AK collective ✊🏾
    Too many major sports going down right now. NBA playoffs in full swing - BK v Bucks game 7 was wild, as well as Philly v Atlanta. Ben Simmons def getting roasted hard online. Euros approaching the round of 16, and its hard to be productive. Europe gotta work on their flags tho. Arsy got a problem with these similar 3 stripe patterns lol. ⚽️🏀
    Another classic - Ones gotta go. This time Arsy brings McFlurries to the table. Which one you dropping - Skor, Oreo or Smarties. Y’all might be surprised with #ProducerTaus’ selection.     Volkswagen must be listening to TMP because they’ve just named a car after #ProducerTaus. Sorry Honda, mans are gonna have to chop the civic and upgrade. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Mans finally made it out to Dave’s Hot Chicken for a TMP mandem meal, and they showed some love with a free chocolate shake - extra ticck. Mans discuss heat levels and debate Dave’s vs Chic-fil-a. 🔥🍗 Y’all know about brown family hospitality - guests don’t pay. And it’s ALWAYS a battle. Uncles be yelling at each other in middle of a Chinese restaurant 😂. It even turns into a never ending cycle of hospitality tag. Mans share some classic stories from a situation we’ve all seen time after time. Euro 2021 is in full swing and you know Woodbridge is blowing up with Italian flags while English broadcasters are doing their usual homer reporting and overhyping the England squad ⚽️. Prayers up for Christian Eriksen who collapsed on the field due to cardiac arrest and was luckily revived thanks to some quick acting teammates and medics. Was a scary sight to see and we’re all happy to see him recovering well 🙏🏾. Waxed and vaxxed.. mans got the 2nd jab and it was starting to kick in hard. Looks like that province has ramped up major and even jabbed approximately 200k+ ppl per day this week 💉. One step closer to normalcy y’all 🙌🏾 The split is still out on the Fun Guy, some love him for the chip, some hate him for the dip. But Ka’wine n Dine still seems to be in effect because the stickers are still up loll. This time the campaign is trying to persuade Kyle Lowry to stay. A local business is offering unlimited chicken for mans to stay. MuchMusic, the Canadian classic music channel, seems to be drumming up a revival. It seems like OG Ed the Sock is not included in the plans though. Mans jump into some MM nostalgia and big VJs that came out of the program. Looking forward to the new generation of VJs 🙌🏾. On a serious note, following last weeks tragic hate crime in London Ontario, Nate Veltman had terrorism charges officially added to his count. Mans cap the session off with some real talk on their feelings on Islamaphobia and even divisions within the community at large.

    What lockdown?! Please tell me y’all saw these packed ass parks and beaches. Woodbine beach? Slammed. Trinity Bellwood’s. Slammed? 300+ ppl line up to reach the island? Obvi. Want a park rave? Riverdale had a JAM gwanin 💃🏾🕺🏽. Even trying to hit a park outside of the city was an issue. The people are OUT! 🔥
    Money Mayweather back at it in the ring again vs Youtuber Logan Paul. Mans caught a stream online and watched what can only be described as a waste of time. Wild wailing shots from Paul coupled with hugging and trying to weigh Mayweather down. Floyd did his thing as usual, still quick as ever and tumped this guy up. 🥊

    People were cheesed about Egerton Ryerson’s role in Canada’s residential schools and pulled the statue down. They are even calling for renaming the university. All this in a very tense week of reflection in Canada’s colonial white supremacist past.
    On a very sad note, TMP joins the rest of the Canadian community in mourning the deaths of 4 family members in London, Ontario, who were murdered by a terrorist in a Islamaphobic hate crime. One child survived the attack and remains injured in hospital - orphaned. 😔🙏🏾

    Fresh off of another disappointment from the Maple Leafs, who dropped a 3-1 series lead to the Habs to lose in game7 🤦🏽‍♂️ - Mans are hella cheesed and even Arsy’s pops chimed in. On the flip side, Chelsea shocked City to win the Champions League final… which made up for the Maple Laughs Meltdown.
    Arsy got raccoon problems at his crib, and in good brown son fashion had to do something about it to earn his day of binge sports watching, using unorthodox methods for rodent control 🌶👀
    In the pandemic era, park-hopping is the new bar-crawl. Arsy did his own park hop last weekend going from Riverdale over to West Humber. Mans got the park life starter pack to get y’all ready for the summer park flexes. See what essentials this guy packs into a string bag and keep that on deck.🎒
    Lala doing his share of good son duties selling stuff for his parents on FB market place, and it’s a trip. You got all types of characters tryna catch a deal - Wayyy too many “what’s best price bro” 👳🏾‍♂️. Dealing with the FB marketplace messages is like a shorty’s online dating app inbox.     In other news, Naomi Osaka got fined for not speaking to the press last week after her first round win at the French open - and then withdrew from the tourney after threats of being banned from future grand slams. Big up to Naomi for making a statement and paving the way for an important discussion on players mental health and highlighting an environment with predatory and discriminatory reporting ✊🏾🎾.
    On a serious note, 215 Indigenous children were found in a mass grave on the grounds of a residential school in Kamloops, BC. We are reminded that the Indigenous people have been oppressed and the generational trauma is too real. We mourn all the children who lost their lives, language, and heritage through these schools.
    We want to acknowledge the land we are on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. Thank you 🙏🏾

    Last week, Manchester United fans held major protests against their ownership by the Glazer family, which resulted in the cancellation of their March against rivals, Liverpool. They also made it to the Europa league final ✊🏾💚💛. On the other side of Manchester, local rivals Man City made it to their first Champions League final while also securing the Premiership title. Been a big week in English football 🔥
    Crypto been all over the news this year, and this week, DogeCoin back in the news. Producer Taus told us about an even funnier coin - Cumrocket 😂.     On a serious note, the Middle East is experiencing unrest this week, specifically in East Jerusalem, with the evictions of Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah and attacks on people fasting and praying in Al Aqsa mosque. Also Arsy’s man crush, Riz Ahmed was nominated for best actor along side the late great Chadwick Boseman..but both got shafted by OG Anthony Hopkins - who was sleeping during the award show 💀. Ps.
