Today's podcast guest was the oldest debutant swimmer at the recent Australian Olympics trials - 48 year old David Bale.
David's story is one of inspiration. He was happily competing in Masters Swimming and going about his business, when he was struck done with a neurological condition similar to MS. It has effected his legs and arm, but swimming helped his condition immensely, so that's what David did! He swam. And swim he has done.
Not only does he train with able bodied teenagers, he competes at many able bodied meets and is breaking records left right and centre.
We chatted about the type of training David does: how often he trains and what it was like on pool deck at the Olympic trials.
I know you will enjoy listening to David Bale's swimming journey.
