Today's guest is multiple masters World Title Holder - the lovely Kristin Gary.
We chatted about Kristin's journey to masters swimming, from keen junior to NCAA competitor for Duke University. Her hiatus after College away from the pool, only heightened her love of swimming when she found the masters swimming world. It is always interesting to hear different masters swimmers approaches to training and competing, and Kristin was no exception.
We spoke about swimming for the New York Athletic Club (and previously the Red Tide Masters) and the work they do in supporting elite athletes towards their Olympic dreams and the training she does at the club. We also chatted about Kristin's work in co-founding the not-for-profit Trident Swim Foundation, which supports school aged children with academic and swimming support on their road to College.
As with many masters swimmers we speak with, it is evident that our love for swimming has flowed into other areas of our lives and this is definitely Kristin's journey. You won't be disappointed in listening in to this pod.
