    This week we watched the 1982 classic Steven Spielberg film E.T. The Extra Terrestrial and it might’ve been Don’s first time seeing it completely. Directed by Steven Spielberg, and written by Melissa Mathison it tells the story of Elliott, a boy who befriends an extraterrestrial, dubbed “E.T.”, who is stranded on Earth. The film stars Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote, Henry Thomas and Drew Barrymore. We also talked about J.J. Abrams a bit and his film Super 8 which was inspired by the film.     For the final film of Killer Animal month we watched 2003 film which is reworking of the 1971 release of the same name, Willard. Written and Directed by Glen Morgan and loosely based on the novel Ratman’s Notebooks by Stephen Gilbert, it tells the story of a repressed man Willard (Crispin Glover) who befriends a group of rats and finds temporary refuge from daily abuse at the hands of his bedridden mother (Jackie Burroughs) and his father’s old partner, Frank (R. Lee Ermey). Soon it becomes clear that the brood of rodents is ready and willing to exact a vicious, deadly revenge on anyone who dares to bully their sensitive new maste. Written and Directed by Daredevil director Mark Steven Johnson nit tells the tale of motorcycle rider Johnny Blaze who sells his soul to the Devil to save his father’s life, years later he is transformed into the Ghost Rider, the Devil’s own bounty hunter, and is sent to hunt down sinners.
