Total Soccer Show: USMNT, Champions League, EPL, and more ...

We watched USA v Peru twice before recording this review of the game, in which we offer insights into what did and did not work, which players impressed or didn't, and, most importantly, why.

No spoilers in the show notes, but all hail Kellyn Acosta.

No Spoilers: Daryl and Taylor discuss their instant reactions to the USA's friendly match against Peru.

Lots to discuss and lots to rewatch. We'll be back with our in-depth review later tonight/early tomorrow AM!

We open with a quick look back at the USWNT's World Cup qualification-worthy victory over Jamaica, then we look at the USMNT's next opponent, Peru, before discussing possible USMNT lineups and how hard it is to analyze and assess the team in the Dave Sarachan era.

Our longer review of the USMNT v Colombia game. Less emotional and more analytical than our quick-take, and with a grasp at a few straws of positivity. But still not thrilled with the defensive setup.

Questions:

1. Why do problems like isolated strikers persist across multiple USMNT coaches?

2. Should the USMNT play more away friendlies in CONCACAF?

3. How would we revitalize the US Open Cup?

4. What eligible players do we hope become US citizens and then play for the USMNT?

5. What three traits do we look for in a center back?
