It's almost baseball season in Gamecock Country! South Carolina's 2026 baseball team returns with many new faces but the same expectations as every year: postseason success. World Baseball Network's Alfred Ezman joined us to talk about USC's loaded transfer class, the team's pitching outlook, expectations and more.

The college football playoff parameters are changing once again. Thomas and Beck sit down to talk about what the committee is *still* getting wrong about the process & why the only changes being made just help the blue bloods more. We also discuss Dabo's major rant on the transfer portal and Pete Golding & why this will only keep happening until guardrails are put in place to protect teams and coaches from being played. We end the episode with a fun debate: What would you rather see your school win in a 10 year span, A.) 2 CFP national championships or B.) 1 CFP, 1 MBB, 1 WBB and 1 baseball national championship? Head to our YouTube channel now and sound off in the comments.

Three days have passed since the transfer portal window closed and new players are still tricking in for Shane Beamer's Gamecocks. After a quick transfer portal update, we talk for more than 30 minutes about Indiana's magical 16-0 run to the national championship and what it means for the landscape of college football as we know it in 2026 and beyond. We end the show with a quick talk conversation about South Carolina's much-needed conference win vs. Oklahoma in Columbia on Tuesday night.

After a whirlwind two week window, the transfer portal is closed and we're getting a better idea of which players South Carolina will depend on when the season kicks off this fall. Nobody has a better understanding or more insight into the Gamecocks' portal haul than Wes Mitchell, who joined us for nearly 45 minutes to talk about the class and the offseason so far.

After a long weekend in Tampa Bay, Thomas and Beck are back in the booth to talk to Arkansas Razorback super-fan Jake's Takes about the current state of CFB, Arkansas' transition to the Silverfield era, and South Carolina's trip to Bud Walton Arena later this week. We wrap up episode 38 with a quick transfer portal round-up and a recap of the CFP semifinals.

The Gamecocks' portal pick-ups are starting to flow in, as three more players announced their commitment to South Carolina in the last two days. USC's portal commitment list includes four total players, with more on the horizon as the portal window stays open through January 16th. Thomas and Beck talk about those four commitments plus the growing list of current players reaffirming their commitment to the future in Columbia. Lane Kiffin and LSU are also in the headlines again, this time as accessories to the fact that Washington's starting QB is looking to become a Tiger just days after re-signing to stay a husky in 2026. After another long portal problem rant, we talk about our CFP semifinal picks before breaking down USC MBB's massive Q1 win at LSU Tuesday night.

Three days into the opening of the transfer portal and the Gamecocks have many departures and only one commit. Thomas and Beck address the mass exodus of offensive lineman from the program before briefly discussing our first official transfer portal commit, former Oklahoma WR Jayden Gibson. Chad Morris and Clemson are getting back together again, the former OC is returning to Tiger Town for his second stint as offensive playcaller. Our DB Blitz weekly picks somehow keep getting worse, but not nearly as bad as our men's basketball team, which we briefly discuss before signing off for the episode.

It was a Christmas miracle in South Carolina: Nyck Harbor, LaNorris Sellers and Dylan Stewart have all announced they'll be returning to play for the Gamecocks next season. Shane Beamer has stacked some staff wins too by adding Deion Barnes to replace Sterling Lucas & fending off Virginia Tech's push to hire away Torrian Gray.
